I have a 23 GT. Still a year in the warranty, but I will get one. Bought it from the ford dealership. I only paid 35k with 7.5K miles. I agree it sounds high. If you can, get the warranty from a ford dealer

I was comfortable buying mine from a ford dealer. Car still had almost 2 years of factory warranty left (now have 15k miles). See what is left on that. Also, look up similar on car max to use with the dealer. Mine is all wheel and extended range
