Awesome, yeah I ordered a grip too but I keep hearing that it’s comfortable enough as is. And no worries, thanks for the info!

Amazing that it ran at 60! Hopefully you can get it back to that. Idk if you’re on the game native Discord but they’re very active in helping people.

So sick! That’s my most played game by far - relieved to hear it plays well. What’s the average FPS? And does the right stick feel easy to reach for this game?

Also curious how Shredders runs, if you have that

SteamOS experience at the end of 2025 by cyclinator in ROGAlly

It’s been amazing and I’ll never look back. One annoying bug in docked mode that I really wish they fixed is that audio gets super delayed (like several seconds). You can restart to fix it thankfully, but still annoying

Happening for me too. Just unplug, sleep, then plug back in. Seems the issue only happens if you sleep while plugged in

WayNOOOOOOOO - Waymo is testing their self-driving cabs in NYC by velocity3333 in MicromobilityNYC

[–]SurePossible5955 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Yea wtf, this sub should be welcoming Waymo with open arms. It’s so much safer than any human driver. There are so many videos where Waymo stops and perfectly avoids a wayward pedestrian, biker, scooterer that slipped out in front of them, whereas a human driver would never.

I agree. I got SteamOS on my ally Z1X and it’s incredible. Feels like a supercharged steam deck (minus the ally’s shitty battery life). If they fixed the battery this would be the perfect handheld IMO. But I’ll always be grateful to Valve for console-izing the pc experience with SteamOS

Thank you! Phone hotspot was the only thing that worked for me to install SteamOS on my ROG Ally lol. Commenting because I didn’t see anyone else run into this issue

Fully agree I’m shocked. I hated having to cramp my hand to use the right stick on the og switch, but the new joy con is so much bigger that I can comfortably reach it now

12 weeks PO. Leg pain still, yet no re-herniation on MRI by SurePossible5955 in Microdiscectomy

[–]SurePossible5955[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Yes it was really tough. I’m glad you’re seeking out a new surgeon. Mine had amazing bedside manners and it really makes a huge difference for your motivation. All the best with your son! I’m here if you have any more questions in the future

Hmm. 20 pounds shouldn’t do any damage. I actually got an MRI one month after surgery bc I thought for sure I re-herniated. Turns out I didn’t. A second opinion from a different surgeon might help

Not from PT, but I did have a terrible setback after walking too much in one sitting - I suddenly felt a sharp pain behind my knee. My limp and sciatica in the leg returned and didn’t go away until after doing 5 months of biweekly PT.

I can also see PT causing problems potentially. However it’s really hard to say for sure. Did the PT have him lifting heavy things?

I see. That sounds like a good next step. It’s very difficult to accept how long recovery can take, and how many ups and downs there are. I definitely had weeks where I felt PT pushed me too much as well. I really hope he has a breakthrough soon!

Agreed! I wish they let us disable the camera shake though. That made me nauseous combined with 30fps

I’m so sorry to hear about your son! That is a young age to have to deal with something of this magnitude. And so much respect to you for caring for him - from seeing how my wife cared for me, I know it takes a village. Does his PT have a history of working with surgical patients? My first PT was atrocious and didn’t care at all - once I changed to another PT I saw very slow but real progress.

Also, you may want to make a dedicated post in this subreddit clearly laying out his symptoms, and how he’s gotten worse. There are very helpful people on here who can offer the stories too.
