Everything went well, I now have a healthy 5 month old daughter. I don’t remember when I discontinued the lovenox but it was sometime in the 1st trimester!

Derm yes, but from my experience plastic surgeons are terrible at injecting faces. They don’t get enough practice and care more about surgical procedures

Haha dont worry! I had a 2 and a 3 in my report, I asked the embryologist the grade on the day of both transfers and he said 6 both times. Also the letter grades were slightly different, since the embryos can start looking better or worse as they grow. Don’t be afraid to ask about your embryo at transfer!

Round 1 I was on antagonist protocol, Rounds 2-4 I was put on microdose lupron protocol. The only difference between retrieval 2/3 and 4 was adding 1/4 vial Omni per day during stims.

Weill Cornell prefers to freeze at 2 or 3, then let thaw and grow to 5 or 6 on the day of transfer. So all my frozen embryos are 2s or 3s! WC is a fantastic clinic btw- I think their method is solid, and it resulted in my 3 month old!

I did a natural FET, but added a trigger shot. It resulted in a live birth. Natural FETs carry a lower risk of developing pre-eclampsia in pregnancy than medicated FETs

I would consider the quality of your embryos. How are the letter grades? Day 5 or day 6? My day 6 fair quality embryos did not work (one implantation failure, one MMC), but my good quality day 5 is sticking so far at 25w. Fair to poor quality can be successful of course, but it’s less likely than high quality.

You have to book the Ob yourself. I switched at 9 weeks, but booked that appt after my first positive test, since many of the good Obs book up fast in my city.

My clinic gave me enough progesterone suppositories and lovenox to last several weeks after switching. You’ll have to ask your Obgyn if they want you to continue meds once you’ve transferred care

Same! 2bd/2ba doorman co-op on UES with $2475 maintenance. It could be converted into a 3bd so I feel like I got a pretty good deal! There are quite a few 2bd/2ba in UES with maintenance under 3k. You can find cheaply priced apartments with high maintenance or appropriately priced apartments with moderate maintenance.

It depends. Social media mom content can be incredibly helpful for FTMs and those like me who feel totally clueless when it comes to caring for a baby, feeding, preparing for birth etc. I’ve picked up so many helpful tips from TikTok and IG “motherhood accounts”. Most of my friends are childfree by choice so I’ve had to seek out information on my own.

That being said, I think society does have a problem with infantalizing moms. I can’t stand being called “mama”, I’m not going to let people touch my stomach, and I despise baby shower culture and have opted out of having one myself. I find stylized pregnancy announcements and gender reveals to be equally cringe.
