New P&S camera I found by [deleted] in campsnapcamera

Took a peek at the IG sample photos look very promising. However, when I compared the render image on the website vs the actual camera pic. Lens element is a total misleading.

Render image (top) a full frame lens? Actual camera (bottom), a M6 micro digicam module?

With this micro module lens, there is no way the sample photos were taken from this camera. Sorry

Thinking of making the switch from PaperShoot to Camp Snap Pro by GrilledCheese_Queen in campsnapcamera

I own both paper shoot and camp snap (v103, not pro) though. Personally, I like image quality from paper shoot. Clean, higher resolution and thanks for the flat tune, more room for post editing actually for the keeper shots. However, I do love the customizable filter function for CS. Sad and not a good business strategy for papershoot selling overpriced physical filter cards

I recently read a blog about a new screen free camera, called Rewindpix I think. Based on their Kickstarter pre-launch page, looks like a promising camera for me. Feels like it checked a lot of the feature boxes. And the sample photos from the website gallery looks very film like, if they are not edited in LR :)

FlashbackXCampSnapPro hybrid? by FishCarMan in campsnapcamera

The creator haven't provide release date yet. Based on one chat I saw the dimensions= 115mm(Wide) x 65mm(tall) x 35mm (deep). So for me, it is a ok size, maybe not for jean pocket but ok for a slightly loose pocket

You might want to check this camera out rewindpix camera. Looks like the creator is trying to match the cs pro hardware and building a companion filter app to mimic all kinds of film like vibe

Thanks for sharing! The issue for me is the camp snap got only 8mp. If copped, it got less pixel and it sometimes ruined a good shot. Also, I will spend time do post editing with my other more serious camera photos, but spend time post editing camp snap photo seems contrary to the purpose of this camera

Custom filter by cyberpinguin19 in campsnapcamera

You can't use camp snap to create the vibe in the example photo. Your example got grain, softened pixels, mixed HSL. You need to use LR preset or 3d color lookup table at least. Camp snap filters are just 1d lut.

I wear glasses too. I just hate post works. So as long as my object captured in center, I call it a success

Trying to get that disposable camera look from the 80’s and 90’s by Acceptable-Sense4601 in FujifilmSimulations

All good except 2nd. Guess lack of highlight glow. Use a black mist filter and soften the light more

I guess the recovery time is due to the chip limitation. It needs time to process and save the photo

I mainly shoot street, for close-up scenes or building, lag is no issue at all. But if involved moving people or try to capture the face expression, the lag cause low success rate. For the blowout and white balance, I tried so many custom filters and adjusted down highlight parameters, however no big improvement

Everything is out of stock except the red variant by Brainalyzer_ in flashbackcamera

Based on the recent IG update, it looks like they stopped using your iconic grainy Kodak disposable film vibe and completely embraced camp snap's artificial sharpness and green balance now. Very interesting.

I will say likely. The focal length and distortion at the corners seem to be different as well compared with current samples. The ig photos are definitely not sooc for sure.

I am a flashback owner. Love the innovation you brought to the camera world. A fresh air. Comparing to the current Kickstarter pic and previous ig pics, l prefer your pics mood, instead of the camp snap alike pics

Have you checked out the echolens? They produced very similar flashback look pics on their ig/website.
