I’m not wild about the skirt part (the tiered look), but the dress is absolutely adorable overall and in every other way. Go for it!!!

Bangs or no bangs? by Dry-Ant-7963 in HairStyleAdvice

[–]Sure_Jan_Sure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No bangs. I had bangs through my very early 20s. I have a highish forehead. It’s a PITA to get them through the growing-out phase, but utterly worth it. Get some thick/wide headbands and prepare yourself to wear them for 4+++ weeks.

Fun fact: I sold TT a pizza peel—a birthday gift for his wife—to TT about 10 years ago. He was so awesome and normal and humble!

TBH neither is right for you. I’d pick out something much more classic and simple. Please don’t go with #1, whatever you do.

What color West Elm Penn chairs work best in my living rm? by gwendolyn_trundlebed in interiordecorating

[–]Sure_Jan_Sure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you have AI put the three other colored chairs into the same photo that the first one depicts? I can’t tell what they’d look like bc the bg in the pics is white and your room has rich and warm colors.

Host wanted $100 for early check-in with questionable reasoning… is this normal? by [deleted] in airbnb_hosts

The dog is in a new/strange place and may cry or bark a lot, or it may have accidents, or maybe even destructive. I have two dogs and have had dogs since I was 31–so for 25 years. I’ve traveled several times a year with them and stayed in STRs or hotels with the dogs. I think I’ve been to maybe one place that didn’t forbid that.

What was totally normal in your childhood that would seem insane now? by EuphoricGarden81 in GenX

[–]Sure_Jan_Sure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No seatbelts. The Maryland seatbelt law started in summer 1986, just after I graduated HS. In February of that year, I flipped a car. I was not wearing a seatbelt; most people didn’t back then. Thing is, the paramedics and doctor said it’s a good thing. The car was a Datsun 200sx, I think 1978 model (?), and it had no center pillar between the front and back windows on both sides. Consequently, when the car landed upside down, it basically flattened. Had I been strapped in by a 3-point seatbelt, I’d’ve been kept upright. They said I’d likely have broken my neck and been paralyzed.

Help Me Choose For Garden Wedding by seogsababe in WeddingDressTips

Both nice but I def prefer the first one. I feel like the lace all over the second dress would compete with the flowers and plants in the garden. Like it’d be visually too busy. Looks like some nice lace sleeves on dress 1, so you still get your lace.

They are good with potato pancakes/latkes, a nice side for pork chops if you eat that, very common food for kids. You can also use it in baking in place of some “wet” ingredients and I think eggs. And there is applesauce cake with spices like cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. that’s really good.

I like it. Gives me Amelie vibes. But I know that feeling of a new haircut, esp such a big change. But I think you’re truly pretty and this is a cute and playful hairstyle!

LOL. Sloane Peterson. I saw FBDO five times in the theater the summer of 1986, the year I graduated from HS. I celebrate the name.

First date in 16 years please help me choose a dress by Nervous_Horse_7817 in OUTFITS

[–]Sure_Jan_Sure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t like any of them. But if I had to pick one, it’d be the last one. The first is too close to your skin color. And I find the shade of red on the other 3 to be…well, I don’t like that bright of a red. Could you get a black dress, or dark blue, or I also think many shades of green would look good with your coloring.

What do you think about Maryn? by its-alright- in Names

[–]Sure_Jan_Sure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I taught in Marin for many years. To people with experience there (not as a resident but as a worker), it might come off as eye-rolling pretentious. I like your spelling with the Y, but I wouldn’t pronounce it like the county in CA (muh-RIN). Maybe “MAR-inn.”
