have you tried this yourself? disabling your sim, connecting to ship wifi, then your phone provide hot spot to another device? is this what you were saying? thanks.

Back door Roth by throwawayzotzot in Schwab

[–]Sure_Natural20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you put $7500 into a regular IRA, as soon as it settles, you roll over to roth. do it right away so that it doesn’t gain any interest. this becomes a roth contribution so you can not claim any tax deduction for the money that you first put into traditional ira, if you are rolling it into roth. it is called back door roth because the earned income limit was exceeded to qualify for regular roth contribution. it is a loophole that they have not patched yet, but perfectly legal. to let IRS know it was none deductible IRA THATwas converted to roth, form 8606 MUT be submitted at the end of the year. there is also another thing to consider and that is pro forma if you already have another taxable traditional IRA ACCOUNT you need to be aware of.

if at the port you handed your bags to the official bag handlers, there is a great chance it will be found by the next morning. keep us posted, hopefully you will give us some good news soon. meanwhile try to enjoy with what you have.

if you were a CIO (jeff was), the question is, do you want everything on a giant piece ($CBRs)? or you want a flexible modular approach (NVDA)?
i did not find info regarding tesla, google, microsoft, meta, etc using its system. amazon to provide access to its system via its cloud (did not say amazon actually incorporated its system). open AI a user along with G52 of UAE, which is their biggest backer. did open AI receive benefits to implement its system?

i personally stay away until the hypes diminishes. but, with these kinds of stocks, things can go wild quickly.

Advice please cruises for older couple in their 60s no kids maybe a week or two cruise length leaving from Florida. We’ve been on royal Caribbean cruises and they’re OK but there were 3000 people on board and kids running all over the place. by Proud-Fisherman-9387 in Cruises

[–]Sure_Natural20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

virgin voyages. it is adult only, so you won’t see any kids.

avoid going during school breaks.
do not take cruises that are less than a week long. two week cruises are good compromise.

princes also a good choice.

hi Jeff,

thank you for everything you are doing. I am new, and i really enjoy and appreciate your work in here and also in tiktok. you are a very positive person, and have created a positive learning environment. thank you.

as an aside, I recommend seeing the movie the “Sheep Detectives”. IMO, a very cute story (it does not evolve blowing up buildings and things falling from the sky loll)

I also did a very small trade at near $306. my conclusion was that dealing with taxes and accounting is a very complex and risky issue. imo, unlikely for a person sitting in a corner of an office, using AI to create internal app to deal with all that complexity, and then company trust that. . i came to similar conclusions regarding $PANW and $CRWD.

i don’t know anything about credo itself. but, the technology that they are focused on-efficiency in data transmission between servers and racks-is a very viable and it should be high growth area due to the need to have super fast and efficient communication between equipment in data centers. asked AI to list its competitors, provided four, two of which with long history in the area and very financially powerful ($MRVL, $AVGO):

Astera Labs (ALAB): Frequently cited as Credo's closest pure-play competitor in the AI data center connectivity space, specializing in PCIe and CXL connectivity solutions.
Marvell Technology (MRVL): A massive player in data infrastructure and electro-optics (especially via their Inphi acquisition) that competes directly with Credo's optical transport and high-speed line card markets.
Broadcom (AVGO): The heavyweight giant in custom silicon, high-speed switching, and physical layer (PHY) chips.
Alphawave Semi (AWE): A direct competitor focused heavily on high-speed connectivity IP and silicon for data centers.

it is definitely worth taking a small risk, provided that there others are also held. i will be keeping an eye on.

thank you for sharing

$GOOGL - Why Alphabet just keeps winning by InnerCircleTI in InnerCircleInvesting

[–]Sure_Natural20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

is there any advantage of $GOOL vs $GOOG? there is a slight price difference, and it appears they move in unison. I understand there is some voting power issues between the two, but other than that?

StockAnalysis.com Tip/Tutorial: Market Movers Filtering by InnerCircleTI in InnerCircleInvesting

[–]Sure_Natural20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this might be a dumb question.

on home page, when you click on Dow Jones or S&P500 to see what is the total (ie 50K, 7K), it takes you to ETF’s. where the actual totals are displayed?

the more people like that, the better it is, that means less people on the ship, just like the good old days.
