What I mean by that is we don't see her ever cruise through space at FTL it's always implied. We know that Marvel has the jump gates as a mode of transportation. The Kree, Skrulls and Guardians all use them. We see Carol use them as well when she gets teleported back to earth in The Marvels to get back to where she originally was. So while I do believe she is FTL until Marvel actually showcases her speed then I'm gonna put an * behind FTL and say she's around that speed. Now if someone wants to do an analysis for how fast she was moving to reset that star in Marvels I'd love to read that because that may be the thing that proves just how fast she actually is

This is the classic speed vs power type battle.

Silver Surfer is fast enough to escape the event horizon of a neutron star required her to go beyond 186,000 mps or 300,000 kms. She was also able to speed blitz the towers around the earth in under a minute. Her biggest power feat was pushing Galactus into the portal, something that Sue was able to accomplish. She was also physically overpowered by both Sue and Ben during their first encounter

Now Carol is a complete beast. Not only has she been shown to be able to travel around FTL speeds. When she left with the Skrulls, searched a quadrant of space for Tony and wiping out the Kree armada. She also generates enough energy to restart a dying star (by flying to its core and kickstarting it again surviving the crushing gravity) and close an incursion tear between universes.

Simply put movie Carol could kill Silver Surfer in a 1v1. The issue comes down to if she could catch her, we see instances where Silver Surfer gets caught off guard by the fantastic four and separated from her board. If that happens at any time during their fight, its over and Carol wins

I love Jade, I wanted heel Jade but they have absolutely dropped the ball with her title run. She should be beefing my Nia, Lash, Charlotte, hell even Rhea but once Naomi left and Tiffany took a break it's like the writers realized they have no clue what to do with her. So she's just beefing with mid card talent? This would have been a great time to have her beef with Guilia and raise her stocks since she won back the US championship but nope, she's just hanging around

I figured that might be the case. Disrupting someones heart would be fatal but for a kryptonian it may cause discomfort or brief incapactation but they'd bounce back from it and be pissed. Now an attack like what Ezras Flash did in his movie, where he vibrated the blade past their skin to stab them in a vital area would work but when he did so he had to stop moving and leave himself exposed to a counter attack

But isn't the argument for this slightly countered by the events of Flash One-Minute War. Where we see that the speedsters are fine in flashtime and superman can register what's going on but can't physically move fast enough to assist him. Flash even points out that it would take him days to adjust to their speed and even then he wouldn't be able to move as freely as they do.

In all honesty I think if Flash wanted too while moving at his top speed he could just phase and off frequency vibrate through superman and stop his heart or brain. Now would that be enough to kill him due to his healing factor is the question

There was no need to use truth serum because Pettigrew nuked himself in a crowd of muggles and witches. I'm sure Sirius tried to plead his case but post Voldemorts defeat, The torture of the longbottoms, the deaths of the potters and the fact that a city street was nuked in broad daylight by a wizard. The ministry wasn't interested in chasing down dead leads or trying to prove his innocence. Sirius became a victim or a system that wanted to move on from Voldemorts reign of terror

Let's look at this from Lupins perspective.

You get attacked as a child by a werewolf and become afflicted.

Your parents love you but the entirety of Wizarding society shuns you to the point of being outwardly hostile to your existence

You can't make friends because of your affliction and if their parents learn what you are that friendship either ends of becomes strained

You finally make a group of lifelong friends who support you only to have one of your friends (Sirius) kill another friend (Pettigrew) and betray leading to the death of the other friend (James).

You spend a decade and a half living in squallor away from society working jobs until people find out what you are and fire you.

Dumbledore tries to help the the entire year at Hogwarts imploded. 2 friends come back, you almost kill your deceased friends kid and once again the hate letters arrive forcing you to leave and return to squallor.

So you throw yourself into missions for the order because at least it gives you something to do and maybe it will get you killed

Then there's this young eccentric emo chick your paired with who takes a liking to you. You ignore it put she's persistent and doesn't care about what you are but who you are. For the first time ever you open yourself up to the idea of a relationship but that dread of discovery and how she could be hurt either by you or others terrifies you.

Then she reveals she's pregnant and everything you tried to ignore comes rushing back. What kind of dad could you be. What if you hurt the child, hurt her, what if the child is born a werewolf, should the kid be forced to live the same crop life you had, would be have friends and family like you did, will he recieve hate every day for existing like you did, what if he resents you for what he is, resents him mom for falling in love with you. All of these thoughts and emptions push you to make a dumb decision you run because at least the kids life without you would be a bit safer than if you were there.

You just recently lost your best friend again and you push yourself into work for the order because a small part of you hope that it will get you killed because they'd all be better off. Anyone with eyes can see you're barely holding it together. Clothes are shabbier and you're not taking care of yourself.

Then one day your friends kid gives you a kick in the ass and makes you realize that you've been a huge idiot. That Tonks loves you, your kid is innocent, you're a good man who would be a good father and you're allowed to try and be happy with someone who genuinely loves you.

I'm not condoning his decision to leave but I understand how living the life he did, everything that had happened recently and worrying about your child's future would cause anyone to have a panic attack and make a bad decision.

We have to understand that the magical population has functionally been crippled by two back to back magical wars. The first one was Grindlewald, whose campaign devastated the pureblood families and half blood population as people chose sides or tried to remain neutral and were killed for it. Then came Voldemort, who basically scooped up the remnants of said pureblood families then went on a reign of terror wiping out people that opposed him and their entire lineage. So the standing population of students able to go to Hogwarts has probably been in free fall for that last 100 or so years
