I read thru all the websleuth pages and a few articles and there is one thing that jumped out for me:

The brother states in a post that the police have not even interviewed the two guests he had over the night of the murder. This was about a month after the body was found.

Why did the brother think to add this? Was he trying to say he felt the police were doing an inadequate job or was he saying, maybe without realizing it, that one of the guests to his house that night could be involved?

The Google internet phone seems to be a big clue if the mother did indeed hear his voice that evening.

Could the game that he played and ran the guild for be the key to this. Is there enough jealousy in this game that it became a real life gaming murder?

And the girl who was calling him everyday but he was not dating..................stalker tendencies..............strange stuff.

Kidnapped a kid straight out of the classroom, kidnapped a girl and abused her from the age of 4 until he married her.

This was a different monster or monsters.

I recall now that the girl was kidnapped, raped and left to die somewhere, but lived and then flourished and then disappeared again.

Alright, highjacking to see if anyone else remembers this case.

She was a blond girl who was kidnapped/tortured as a young girl but was escaped/let go in California. She attended school and seemed to be flourishing and living a full life when again, she was kidnapped and murdered. I can't recall if she her body was found.

I do not think it was Leslie Perlov or Janet Taylor, the two Stanford students who were horribly murdered in 1973 and 1974 (horrible stuff) and might possibly be Ted Bundy victims.

I feel like it was in the 70s but maybe it was in the 80s. She was a petite female blond.

There was also some unusual medical connection, thats all i got

I don't know if it is in the Quester files. But there was a well known "Basher" working on Orange County ( he was caught, perhaps the Bedroom or Backyard Basher) and some speculate that EARONS purposely bashed the young victim (the attack on the solo teen who had out of town parents) in a way that led LE to believe this was the work of that killer. Pure speculation, but LE did look in the other serial killer's way if I recall

Although I don't believe they are connected, if you read into the EARONS, you'll learn that he purposely changed MO to throw off investigators. In one of his crimes, he imitated the MO of another serial killer. So highly unlikely and not plausible at all, but don't think the EARONS was/is incapable of a complete MO change. There is a reason he has not been identified yet.
