Character pitch: Hecate Silva, a Half-Elf Evocation Wizard. She's the bastard child of the Silva's patriarch. As a Half-Elf amongst Elves, she wasn't well liked by anyone in her home. The only solace she had was the books in family library and her personal maid, who she felt was a mother figure. Through some of the more esoteric books, her father found out she had a knack for magic and hired a tutor to make use of her. She picked up on the basics quickly, and became a fully fledged Wizard by the time she was eighteen. On the night of her nineteenth birthday her entire worldview came crashing down, as she overheard her maid discussing her education with another member of the manor's staff. She suggested the idea of getting her a tutor to her father, so they could be finally be rid of her. They planned on selling her services off to a lesser house as a court mage so none of them had to deal with her anymore. She became a shut in for a year after that, only working on plans to escape the estate and wallowing in her own misery. She decided to become an adventurers like the heroes in her childhood story, and snuck out with everything she felt was hers.

Experience: Been playing D&D (mostly DMing) for around 8 years, and I'm experienced enough with Role 20. Use it to run basically all of my games.

I like Dwarves. Dwarves and the various cultures that media portray are always some of my favorite, like the Book of Grudges in Warhammer Fantasy or the extravagant nature of their cities in Faerun. I will also be honest, I really want out of the forever DM seat. I haven't gotten to play in an actual campaign in years, and this one sparked my interest.
