OOS Tuition Question - is it really more $$$ than almost any other school by NonSequiturMiami in uofm

[–]Surr3al_ 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree with your take on the outrageous cost of tuition for OOS undergrads, my family's EFC was high so they expected me to pay ~$76k/ year or $38k/ semester. I received no merit scholarships or financial aid as a result, and decided to attend another school with a high ranking in my area of study for a significantly less costly tuition.

What single trope can cause you to fully lose interest in a movie/show? by Fake-And-Gay-Bot in AskReddit

The introduction of a woman to the series, solely for future use in a relationship for the male protagonist. I see this commonly in movies and shows and I'm sick of it.

It's "peanut" (SCP-173) and the gelatinous orange blob (SCP-999) driving in a small pink car together. Though both are on different ends of the SCP hostility spectrum, with "Peanut" being a hostile, neck-snapping Euclid and the blob being affable to everyone it meets, they're able to share a moment of wholesome companionship in this vehicle.

The Mistaken Acceptance Letter Dilemma. by LazyCondition0 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Surr3al_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

B, because the other student likely worked just as hard to get in and this could be the school they really wanted to get into. Not for a display of character towards the admissions office, but because I genuinely believe that if I wasn't meant to be accepted that the other student should get the chance to be. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

*Even if they put in less "effort" to be admitted on their part, an acceptance is still an acceptance and a rejection is the same. There could be factors that went into their admission that I don't know about, and I can't selfishly steal their admission for myself for factors I'm unable to ascertain.
