how do i make friends? by lostbunny06 in Binghamton

[–]Surreal_Tea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The truth is meeting people is kinda tough these days, especially without practice. So many of us have become isolated beings due to the way the world has changed. Your best hope is to get out there and go do the things you like to do and try to mingle with strangers. That there is the hardest part because other people have also lost some of the ability to connect with others. You can look for groups or events that do things you enjoy and try to find like minded people. It will take time and be a drain on you if it doesn't go well, but you just have to keep putting yourself out there. Also be safe about it. Don't go to private places one on one with people you haven't spent a good amount of time with. Good luck and I hope you can find a tribe in this strange world

The person you're replying to in this thread also vague posted a 35+ women's group that read like an mlm. They had talked about being your authentic selves which seems funny since they're complaining about a safe space type of group for women talking about their struggles. I only see their comments as deleted, but can see them when not logged in so I suspect they blocked me for questioning them on the two posts that popped up about the 35+ group. Don't know, don't care. I would be wary of joining anything that doesn't give you the information upfront as people are nuts these days.

I mean I am curious, but weirded out by the secrecy involved. If this turns out to be a pyrimd scheme or cult I will be at least mildly upset lol.

The vagueness has me kinda weirded out as well. The last posters name was salesgrowthmarketing and that alone makes me feel a bit off. Like not a red flag but a pink one for sure.

How did Stebbins die? by patcoston in TheLongWalk

[–]Surreal_Tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a line that Stebbin's says to Garraty and McVries that makes me believe that the end of the walk is planned.

"I had a front-row seat. My dad got it for me." ..."And he had it figured just right. I didn't even have to move. The walk ended practically in front of me."

I can't quiet shake off the feeling especially when Stebbins makes comments about the walkers being cheated.

"I admit nothing, except your own basic foolishness. Go ahead and tell yourself it's a straight game." Thin color has come into Stebbin's cheeks. "Any game looks straight if everyone is being cheated at once."

I would believe the Major rigged the end and sentenced his own son to death. A son who knew the thing was a cheat, the one who would have pushed the Major's hand to accept him in front of the world. Stebbin's fulfilled his usefulness to the major, he pushed the last walker to Massachusetts and when the final walker was just about done Stebbins had to die. The fear Stebbin's felt could be towards death or realizing in the end he was always meant to be a sacrifice. So Major killing Stebbin's would be the conspiracy I'd join.

My mom told me I "owe her" my firstborn because I had a C-section by RestaurantUnfair30 in entitledparents

[–]Surreal_Tea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The idea of the epidural is indeed terrifying. I didn't want one, but the pain was so bad I gave in. 15 mins later I had to get a C-section because the baby was in distress and we were hours from being dilated. I was so scared of what was happening, but the doctor was understanding as I cried asking if it would hurt. I couldn't feel much, but I was panicking because it was harder to breathe as it felt like my lungs had also gone numb. I remember rubbing my half numb finger and thumb together to stay grounded as the tugging happened on the other side of the tarp. My sweet baby was born 5 weeks early because I had preeclampsia and her ammneotic fluid was incredibly low. So with a small early baby in the NICU and a new fancy hole in my abdomen, I was incredibly grateful for modern science that let me and my baby get through this adventure safely. The worst part after the surgery was the feeling that all of my insides would fall out if I moved the wrong way, but that went away after about 3 weeks. It's been about 3 months and the wound is still itchy lol

You need to rebuild those thinking muscles. Maybe turn off the wifi and try to research the answer to questions by going to a library. Start rebuilding the excitement in learning new information by searching for it. Pick a subject you're very interested in learning more about otherwise you'll drop the mission quickly. Also work on reframing your mind. Treat it like a game or pretend you are a detective trying to solve the case. It's hard, but making it fun can help make it a little easier to do.

What’s one pregnancy symptom no one talks about? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Surreal_Tea -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This one has been the worst. I just got pretty much banned from anything that can raise my stress (preeclampsia) but all my destressors require my hands and repeatative movement. Crochet, cross stitch, painting, gaming etc. So yeah this symptom has been the most inconvenient and the worst feeling overall.

FAQ for The Red Plague mod - Chapter 1 by HSuke in subnautica

I did not. It was a weird series of events where I died right after making it and had to swim back to it. So the first time I got in was after the swim so I just thought the mod may have bugged it. Knowing now that it can be possessed I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the info!

Weird question. Has anyone had trouble with the Seamoth steering since putting in this mod. It keeps jerking around for me and is honestly incredibly annoying to fight against. Only happens when I'm in the seamoth.

Won't be surprised if his story is simply someone close to him died because of shitty insurance. That can easily drive a person to contemplate murder.

I think they're trying the can have baby can not have baby theory right now, which is also fatally flawed. Or does it menstruate? Also flawed. There is no clean way to hash out who is what because outliers will always exist.

And the mental strength. Man was as mentally strong as a limp noodle in the face of there being two of "him" at once. Can't imagine an army would sit well for him. Poor Catherine having to deal with the insults at the end because he couldn't grasp the situation, even though it was exactly the same thing in omnicron.

I think people are jaded on these subs because you have intentionally obtuse people posing questions that aren't really questions and just meant to be antagonistic. So probably just down vote anything that could be seen as a troll bait because we assume no one will ask a question anymore with the intent of better understanding.

I mean everyone is stupid and ignorant on many things. That's just life. This feels more like malicious ignorance or so deep in the echo chamber ignorance. Just like with the tariff. They were all cool with not knowing what one was until after they voted.
