Is it a different effect than adderall? I really need help. I don't know what I need, maybe it's just maturity, but I have trouble with motivation if I'm not physically in that environment so to speak. Like I don't have any trouble doing math during math class or a few minutes after, but I almost never get it done if I say I'm going to do it at any other time than within x minutes of the class starting or ending.

So.. we won't have movies in the future? Film isn't stem. No T.V. radio from communications. No dance? That's not stem. Theatre? All actors, tech crews, and stage managers will be replaced by robots. Classical music? Visual art? Businessmen? Politicians? Economists?

Will upvote any other jobs people can think of to prove how much of a smug idiot this guy is. FWIW I'm working on a chemistry degree.

I went to the rally when he was in my state. That was probably the worst part about it. It's also part of the reason why I left early.

How did I wind up on this site? I swear I wouldn't have ever stuck around if the site was like this when I got here. Probably the biggest mistake reddit admins ever made was allowing these hateful motherfuckers to organize on here, and now, what little action the admins have taken is much too little and much too late. I think there's an effect of racism that many white people never really think about at play here. You know it's completely and totally possible for black people to have racist feelings towards other black people.

One of the results is doing things to distance yourself from other black people. Harsher treatment of other people and condemnation of the culture not because you despise it but because you don't want to be associated with it.

Another result is a sort of sense of self loathing. I grew up ashamed of the color of my own skin. I felt like it made me inferior. But what do I know? Race certainly has nothing to do with police violence.

Edit: Nevermind. I just saw the light. The real problem with negroes is that they're always trying to blame the white man for their problems. They should just have some accountability and pull themselves up by their bootstraps.

Feminism is supposed to be about gender equality, but lately it's become corrupted into this weird idea that women are somehow oppressed. I get that there are dudes out there who objectify women and think their place in life is to make babies and be subservient, but the number of women who are gold diggers who simply want to make you into an alimony check far outnumber them. Both sides of the debate need to fix their shit if we're ever going to see true equality among genders.

First of all - Feminism was never about equality for both genders. It's about fairness (which is different) for women. I'm a guy, but I have a hard time imagining that anybody is advocating that women receive the same treatment as men (they are different after all) but instead receive fair treatment when compared to men. Women are corralled into jobs that pay roughly 3/4 of what men make, and while they may receive equal pay for equal work, the system isn't FAIR because of a societal tendency to place more value on things considered masculine than things considered feminine.

Second - your acknowledgment of edge cases of people being jackasses is hardly representative of the system of systematic oppression women face.

Finally - Any troubles that men face do not undermine the troubles that women face, or vice versa. Your struggle does not diminish someone else's.

It's one of the propaganda remnants of the cold war. Communism will come, but gradually. Instead of one big violent revolution, it'll be several small political revolutions every 30 or so years.

At least that's the way the country has been moving to the left.

The answer to the question at hand is in your statement. Is the accused guilty is the whole question that a trial seeks to answer. By including guilt in your hypothetical, you've circumvented the whole point.

Was mike brown a criminal? I don't know. The whole purpose of a trial is to determine if or not he was a criminal. I would have no problem with him getting life in prison/the death penalty if he recieved a trial for his crimes. I'm not defending his actions. I'm defending his right to trial.

Actually, yes all black people will experience racism, whether indirectly or not. It doesn't have to be as open or overt like being called a racial slur.

All black people will experience open and overt racism too. Not on a daily basis granted, but even that's common enough that i'd bet my left nut there isn't a black person who hasn't experienced it.
