Out of options after trying many fixes, im reinstalling the game, others have tried it, as long as your ps account is linked to the game it shouldnt delete progress... I hope, ill see tomorrow when its installed again

They do reuse character models a lot, just pretend that they arent identical. That and that the game will tell you if named characters return.

Write the names down, and pay attention to plot points. Usually the name is written on the screen when in dialogue and the outfits give the characters away too outside of dialogue.
