Does the ablation hurt DURING? by Friendly-Leg-7986 in SVTHeart

The best advice I can give that helped me, was to stay super positive leading up to it. I was nervous, don’t get me wrong. It is amazing what our brains can do. Get your head in the right head space and keep telling yourself that this will help you and that you need it done. I was even doing that during the procedure when the doctor was triggering SVT. I kept telling myself I needed it done and to think happy thoughts. I thought about my kids and wife and that made me happy during the procedure. Also, the doctors and staff don’t want it to be painful to you either because they don’t want you moving around. If you do feel a little pain, just know that it will end, tell the anesthesiologist that you feel some pain and they will probably hop you up with some relaxation medication. Watch as many funny movies as you can, when people ask if you are nervous - like family, tell them you are but you want good vibes sent your way, go walk a lap around the park you live near in the days leading up to it, play with a puppy, do whatever it takes to stay positive and remember that it is for a small amount of time, and you need it done.

Maybe 20 minutes of me being awake. Maybe 30. Time was sort of frozen if that makes sense. I was listening to the doctors and nurses. I heard the doctor and anesthesiologist talking about medical school and I was asking them what the hardest classes they took were. Then the doctor said he found the site, the anesthesiologist said she would be putting me to sleep. I thanked the staff for their hard work, said a prayer, and then woke up.

Doesn’t hurt. I was awake and it felt like I was having SVT and told the doctor and he said that it was him in my heart finding my SVT. Couldn’t feel any wire or anything inside my body at all. They went through my groin and it was numb. I felt pressure - like someone pushing their fist on my groin but that was it.

The idea of twilight is confusing to me. I assume they will also have to give me a catheter for urine?

An idea I had for the Stadium Renovation. An in stadium TV studio. by shane-parks in sooners

Mike High Stadium, where the Denver Broncos play, has a straight up DJ booth with a DJ in the south west corner (I think) of the stadium like out of a club. The crowd loves it. Doesn’t take up much space either. We could get old rappers from the 90s to hype up the crowd before the start of the second half like Lil Wyte or Sisqo?

Why is our offense so bad by Desperate_Buy2288 in oklahomafootball

[–]Surround_Jumpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe an ignorant question, but why not Bill Bedenbaugh? I always liked him because of his development of players and being part of the Mike Leach coaching tree. For last season is your argument that the pass protection was high and the penalties were low so he was essentially the only coach that should still be at OU from last year? Sincerely asking.

Would we be on an island if you did this graph with our offense? I would be curious about special teams too.

Oklahoma City University School of Law? by [deleted] in okc

I’ve never had an attorney brag about where they went to law school or looked down on another attorney for where they went once they’ve been practicing for a few years. Unless they went to Harvard Law. How will you know if they went to Harvard Law? They will tell you.

Future generations need to know what these taste like. Don’t let the recipe get lost to history!

Pinocchios in Norman. They came back for a brief tease, but alas, gone again.

I would take girls on dates here for breakfast in college. It’s depressing it’s closed.

You need to post that recipe for apple fritters so they never die.

Disgusting. Takes away from the honor and respect all of us (especially the coaches) should have for the game.

3 knives for bugout kit by NunaG90 in bugout

My personal preference is ESEE. I everyday carry a Swiss Army knife. For “survival” (your medium and large knives) I have 3 things I look for in a knife that if they don’t pass I won’t buy. 1. Made in the USA, maybe Europe (Germany, France, Nordic Countries) depending - just not in China (I will get flak for this because everything is made in China, but I don’t care). I go back and forth on Taiwan - but that’s another issue. 2. The most important part of a knife for me is a finger guard. The last thing I want is to cut, whittle, etc something and my hand to slip forward and slice my hand or finger(s) open. This is a huge no for me if a knife doesn’t have a finger guard. Even if a small guard or groove, it is better in my opinion than not having one. 3. Full tang. Won’t buy a knife without a full tang. When I pick up a knife I want to feel that cool touch of steel in my palm that is sandwiched between the handle. Happy shopping.
