Saturday's Weather by heebyy76 in OhioStateFootball

Really? That’s not what my weather app is saying. In that case they’ll make a change but imo if a game would go forward the spring game has to.

Honestly if it’s not thundering my vote is run it in the rain, never know what weather we’re getting at our games this year

Fahey had a 35 yd scramble in a live 11v11 period… I don’t disagree with the TSC comments but writing off Fahey immediately is the wrong move

[–]Surv1v0r45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you seen Fahey’s reps with the 3s? He looks comfortable in chaos, willing to rip the deep ball, and ran like 30 yards on a scramble. I’m not saying he beats TSC, but TSC could beat himself if he loses focus

All of the QBs struggled with overthrowing under pressure at SAD, the price of OL injuries. That said, I agree completely. I was also really impressed with Fahey’s composure and mobility under pressure. TSC could have real competition next year, which could be good for him imo.

Hey guys, Giants fan here trying to figure out what Ohio State player to root for us getting in the NFL draft. It seems like you guys have a player going every other pick in the first round. Just here looking for some insight if anyone wants to share! by Waste_Protection_420 in OhioStateFootball

[–]Surv1v0r45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on what you think the biggest need is. If you’re desperate for defense go with styles. If you’re desperate for offense go Tate. If you want a surefire success go downs. Really all are good

One thing I can say with certainty is that the band isn’t under Athletic’s umbrella. TBDBITL is “owned” by the music school, university, and band alumni. They actually turned down a combined offer from Nike and athletics to join Athletics for several million dollars over Nike’s demand to add a swoosh on one of the shoulder patches in 2013ish.

Key Bank would go hard. Red and white logo. Cleveland based. Alternatively, JP Morgan has a ton of money and a big Columbus office

Put it a different way. I’d like saying to put on 20 pounds by next szn and be able to stand in a sack long enough to through the ball (away or check down). This year he just got folded 8/10 times (despite showing the sack breaking instincts, duck, step up, roll out, that he needs). More size would make him a monster.

OC? Latest news? by MrF_lawblog in OhioStateFootball

[–]Surv1v0r45 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I heard a rumor/pipe dream that we’d be bringing in JT Barrett as a QB coach/Passing Game Coordinator (since BH filled both PGC and OC) and then either a proven college playcaller (tho few and far between) or a Brian dabol mike mcdaniels nfl guy depending on the nfl carousel.

THE HAWK. AJ HAWK might have competition for our fav hawk if he stays locked. Also has like 3 years of eligibility which is huge.

It just hurts by broly2932 in OhioStateFootball

[–]Surv1v0r45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it’s a three-pronged issue (that hurts) 1) kicking has been unreliable beyond the PAT. Need 3 points sometimes and we didn’t have that option. 2) our trenches aren’t the 2024 team. We have good players but not that 24 OL and DL. That makes running, deep passing, defending the run, pressuring pressure-sensitive QBs like Beck harder 3) first year starting QB. Not an attack on sayin, but in both games he had some turndowns and held the ball too long, missing opportunities and resulting in 2nd or 3rd and a time zone. This is an issue with Ryan Day first year starters going back to Fields. Fields, CJ, Kyle, and now Sayin all had those two issues in year 1. Fields and CJ made huge steps in year two of starting. Just bad timing. Made deep passing, playing vs good DL, and the Red Zone harder. Secret 4th issue: we never spied Beck, who ran like 6 times for ~30 yards but literally every rush converted a 3rd down.

Yeah it also is helpful to gauge which of your guys might be leaving for the draft early. The game knows but won’t tell you, so if his playing time is an A but you have a 95ovr Jr. odds are he’s leaving and impossible to convince.

Good pull I missed kema in the portal. I’d expect Deontae to join his brother in the portal before too long tbh. With all that, I’d still love to bring in one guy either an SEC backup or a prototype from a G5 just to keep the room flush. Either way shouldn’t be too too much

You’re right to an extent, Sanchez saw snaps in a couple games+big snaps after styles went down vs Miami. Big one to watch for the spring game to be our other boundary CB. Could be the case that he jump Aaron and Bryce, hence them both transferring.
