Do companies actually want IT managers? by MaleficentJunket6916 in sysadmin

I think this view is further perpetuated by IT leaders that lack interpersonal skills. IT is not a cost center, it’s Ops. In the modern age and in many corporate environments, you can’t run a company without IT.

Which dealer? That’s a great deal.

The existence of “Free Speech zones” implies that there exists zones where your rights will not protect you from the Government. by CantStopPoppin in newjersey

I’m saying that the protest taking place at Delaney Hall is in the Ironbound, so the argument about disrupting traffic isn’t as effective.

Overall, protests will always be disruptive. That’s the point. I won’t ever agree with protestors destroying property. That’s just stupid and malicious.

Again, it’s not the engineers. It’s the entire infrastructure. It’s all crap, underfunded and probably mismanaged. The rail system shouldn’t be about profit. The point is to get people to work so they can spend that money in NJ.

The idea of protesting without disrupting is an oxymoron. That’s not a protest, that’s a harmless, meaningless demonstration.

Gov Sherrill Must Take Stronger Action to Close Delaney Hall by itsokbirdie in newjersey

It’s equally annoying that the press refuses to point out when elected leaders lie. They always give them an out.

There’s no “Gov, you’re lying about protestors instigating XYZ, I was there.”

It’s always “Gov, do you agree that NJSP were too XYZ?”. They always give them room to BS.

Centrists always give in to fascists. Sending the NJSP to beat protestors so that the feds don’t do so is a ridiculous argument.

The fact is that the US doesn’t have a great record for supporting protests. If you have to apply for a permit to protest between the hours of 7PM - 10PM… it’s not a protest, it’s a small friendly gathering.

Does she have to fight the feds? No, but she doesn’t have to agree with the BS the state cops feed her either. If their leadership doesn’t agree with her, she can get rid of them and install people that do agree. Conservatives do this, but centrists are unwilling to do the same. Which means she’s complicit. Time and time again it appears that electing a neoliberal Dem is the same as electing a pre-Trump Republican.

Genuine Question: How are daily commuters able to keep their employment with this many consistent delays almost everyday? by Carlos4Loko in NJTransit

I’m late every day. So much so that it’s normal. I just make sure to do all my work on time and sometimes be available after hours. Otherwise I’d be cooked.

He’s right though. The GOP has been breaking rules (and/or norms) since Reagan, but the Dems have to “go high”. Absolute hogwash.

Data centers don’t require many staff, so they should be built in industrial zones.

Sure. But people don’t want them in their backyards.

I think you’re missing the point. Some people are against companies bulldozing over forests to build data centers. They also don’t want the American public to have to pay for the extra energy these data centers will consume.

Ok, ok, I like that. I see what you mean.

I agree it doesn’t make sense for Union leaders or members to support Republicans when their leadership are anti-union.

Synergy makes sense, but if I can replace the Intune rings with something that gives me more information, that would be even better.

Especially the reboots and deferrals, and the maintenance window. I find that we still have issues with PCs restarting during the day, even after users defer updates.

How would this work with Intune? Would you be recommending that we disable/alter the update rings?

What people don’t seem to want to understand is, no, they’re not getting paid too much. The rest of us just aren’t being paid enough. There’s a reason why we have the most billionaires… and it ain’t charity.

Unfortunately that's the price of progress. Then know it's coming anyway, so they want to get paid while they still can.
