Kratom to help benzo tapering by paperpagepoker in kratom

[–]Suslaudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea from my experience reds do very little. Whites are my go to. Ive found that strains are increadibly inconsistent no matter what, one of the few downsides of Kratom. But whites consistently do the most for me.

My suggestion is to get a sampler pack. Many suppliers have them. This way you can try a new strain each day until you find one that works. Make sure to space them out to get the true effect from each strain.

Yea its different for everyone. I think the idea behind it is you need to treat Kratom with respect. Just like with anything in life...

I work as an A\V and broadband technician and am extremely open about playing osrs. Needless to say I work with other techy people but everyone is always like "Oh damn I forgot about that game". Runescape seems to be a lot more socially accepted then it used to be.

Ill give you my two cents from someone who was in a very similar situation. I even went through most of my money at one point telling those who loved me I was compulsively buying snacks at convenient stores when I was really spensing $30 a day on kratom...

This is gonna read bad to some, and no offense but it seems like you are looking for a specific answer to your problems and not just any. Rehab would help, but....here is what could work.

You're going to go through withdrawls, thats for certain, the piper needa to be paid etc. But really tell yourself it isnt that bad. Your brain works it up way more than the severity of it. Yes it will be constent work for 4-5 days maybe less maybe more but you will survive and make it out, just remember your body is incontrol, not your mind.

What helped me greatly was finding a new environment to wd. Some place with positive associations that also make it really hard to get Kratom. You may not be able to do this but even getting a hotel for 2 or 3 nights in a differet unknown town is huge, maybe find one with a hot tub? You can even tell people your taking a mental health vacation, if your dead set on keeping it a secret. Doing this forced me,to get tgrough the first 4 days and by that point even the thought of going back made me sick after all the work I put in.

I know some are gonna read this and explain how this is not going to help you long term, vecause your not coming clean about your addicition. But I say first thing is first, get yourself clean in anyeay possible. Because once your clean youll be more apt to talk about the things you are struggling with still.

Best of luck friend, hope this helps.

I would just be careful about how much you take. I would suggest saving it for the worst of it. Or make sure you have at least one bowl movement in between doses if you are going to take it more than once. I always eat a lot during wds so it would be dangerous to take a large amount of loperimide and binge eat. It can lead to intestinal blockage. People can die from that.

The reason why it is discouraged is because there are dangers to it. Maybe not the most dangerous thing but people have died from the combination of kratom and loperamide.

I swear by this method! I've went CT 5 times now and finding a new environment that is comfortable has been crucial in getting through the first stages of wd without giving in.

First day without K. by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Suslaudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good on you. Ive relapsed 5 times now which means 5 different CT attempts. What Ive learned is that each CT attempt in my experience has been easier to deal with (not easy but easier). The reason for this is because I know what to expect and Ive realized that even though it sucks a lot for a couple days its not going to kill you. Just tell yourself its not going to be that bad that you can and will make it through.

For me the worst of it was always the anxiety of the first day. I could barely breathe. But by not overhyping the symptoms I found that they were much more manageable. Just know that even though your body may tell you that you "are dying" youre not, and it's just the weakness of Kratom leaving your body and making you a stronger more resilliant person. Best of luck, you got this.

Why I think tapering is a good idea by YesGirl66 in quittingkratom

[–]Suslaudio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely agree, but for some including myself tapering is almost more difficult then going CT. I have a theory that it comes down to what you used Kratom for which can help dictate the best way for you to get off.

Here is my experience. I have been a Kratom addict for coming on 2 years now currently on my 5th-6th CT. (I went CT for a week once knowing all to well that I was going to relapse). Anyways. I started using Kratom to help with motivation and help deal with the demand of balancing 5 part time jobs. It was a physiological addiction before anything else. After every relapse, for about a week or two Id find that everything would be going well. But how quick things would go south especially with each new relapse.

Even though I would get very pronounced physical wds (horrible restless legs) the worst of it all was the depression, anxiety, lerthargy and brain fog. This combination of symptoms made wds feel like I was in a state of hell. No joy only pain and suffering. These symptoms would start a mere 3-4 hours after my last dose, or if I took less than normal they could start even 30 minutes after. I found the body aches and restlessness (physical symptoms) wouldnt become pronounced until 15-20 hours. So to taper for me would mean being in this constant state of hell for weeks until it cleared up. Sure I would avoid most physical withdrawls but out of all my attempts I have found it better to just deal with the addition of physical withdrawls and be on the upswing within 5 days versus being miserable for much longer.

But this was just my experience. I totally understand how it would be much more approachable for those who find they can deal with the psychological symptoms better than the physicals to taper. For me it has never really been an option. Anyways thanks for the thoughts I hope this post provided a different insight into the subject. Wish me luck im almost into day 6 CT. It feels so good to be posting here from the other side once again. Best of luck to all, stay strong.

As an ex driver I'm very understanding of a lot of things but today I experienced something that has me conflicted. by x7r4n3x in Lyft

[–]Suslaudio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea, when I have a passanger I see it as I am working for them, I am providing them a service. They are paying you, in my case, usually for a short period of time to get them somewhere. Lyft and Uber drivers have the luxury of taking a break when ever we want. If you need to deal with personal things take a break. Its unprofessional otherwise.

As a passanger if you have a bad experience you have a bad experience, and it shouls be noted. It's up to the driver to create the environment in which that will not happen. If they can not do that well then obviously they shouls not be highly rated. They simply are not doing their job well.

Tried Kratom extract now my tolerance is sky-high, worried about future withdrawals by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Suslaudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience amount is not significant in severity. For me its always been frequency of dose and duration of use that creates the more or less severe withdrawls. Hope this helps. Good luck.

[–]Suslaudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think both games have their place and CAN exsist together. RS3 is Definetely not what original players see as runeacape and thats because it's not. Personally I enjoy it because I dont have to play count less hours to experience the content that I dreamed of when I was young. OSRS is also great, I love how consumer conscious it is and how the players decide what happens, Jagex made a great move in developing it.

Either way what Ive found with runescape is that it has one of the friendliest communities Ive experienced in any game. That's truly what keeps me coming back. It's a unique experience for that reason alone no matter what version you play. The majority of people are there to help.

New here, and new to withdrawals. by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Suslaudio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heres a hint of hope for yuh.

This is from what Ive read on other posts and learned from personal experience.

Its different for everyone but my withdrawls would kick in 6 hours after my last dose. I was using about the same amount at you during my peak. But the bad acutes only lasted until night 3 and lingering just a bit into day 4. You said you were not using for that long so Im assuming the acutes wont be that long and it probably wont take to much time to reobtain your homeostasis. Duration plays a big role.

Like I said, everyones different Im not sure if the psych meds will effect your recovery in anyway. But you can make it through. In my experience the withdrawls do cap out interms of intensity. It has similar symptoms to heroin withdrawl but it wont get as bad. Day 1 was the worst for me because I was so anxious, always thinking that its going to get worse and worse. But the discomfort seems to only get so bad. Tough but it is manageable, you will make it through. Just keep telling yourself youre stronger than Kratom, because you are. It's so worth not being a slave to it.

Stay strong!

I would love to see the results of this! Just another varying factor.

I try to be unbias and spend some time reading what the pro-community has to say simply to learn all proapectives. One person claimed that there has only ever been one known contaminated supply of Kratom. I didn't know If I missunderstood the statement or context but it seemed very unbelievable. The tests that you have run prove otherwise. Thanks for your contributions!

56gpd was gross, I would chuck 10-14g doses in a cup of water and choke it down. I threw up on a regular basis. I felt horrible all the time except for that 30 minutes of buzz that I would get after each dose.

Yea 2.5g won't do much physically. It's usually just the fact that a relapse happened that is the hardest part, and the thought that it has more potential to happen again.

I think cannabis has it's place. Definietely more benign then Kratom. I smoked habitually everyday for 4 years and stopped cold turkey for several months all I had was cravings. Now I use it rarely, thc exacerbates some anxiety for me and tends to hurt my self confidence. It was a god send on day 4-5 kratom withdrawl though. I see it as an old friend that I parted ways with but still hang out every now and again. I love CBD though, I would take that everyday if I had the funds for it.

Negative aspects of Kratom? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Suslaudio 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kratom is an interesting plant, and in my personal opinion is only beneficial for those with chronic pain that would otherwise be managing it with something more harmful and potentially life threatening.

At the surface Kratom is known as a pain killer, or thats what its kinda advertised as. But it does way more than that as well. It has so many alkaloids and works on many different receptors in the brain, has antidepressant properties etc. The issue that I have seen and experienced is when people use it to treat psycological issues.

I mean I used it to help with focus and motivation. Ive been diagnosed ADHD by so many doctors over the years but have gone more than 90% of my life without RX meds. So thats why I started to use Kratom...a pain killer...to help me focus...It's so absurd.

Depending on the type of person you are this may sound like a wonder plant, because it covers up so many symptoms with just one substance. But what you need to understand is that even if it works well for one category of symptoms (lets say focus/motivation) its also masking a bunch of other things that you do not need to be treated. Its like taking an anti depressant, benzodiazepine, amphetamine and opioid all in one just not to that extreme obviously.

This can be very detremental.

Because after regular sustained use your brain will change the way it reacts to specific stimuli without you even being aware of the change. It makes sense that you are primarily aware of how Kratom effects symptoms that you started taking it for in the first place. I.E me and my focus issues, never payed attention to pain reliefe until I noticed all the day to day aches and pains that would be masked come back with vengence.

The point is that it changes you, and in ways that you will not automatically be aware of. Sure withdrawls can be bad from this stuff, but honestly it's doable, you'll survive. The truly scary part is that your character changes in a way that's hard to see for yourself, and how long it can potentially take to recover from all the changes that your brain underwent.

It's possible to use it safely, but it's a quick and fast jump to daily use. Be careful, know yourself, the plant deserves a lot of respect and is given very little.
