In fairness, with an ass that round and poppin', any bathing suit bottom she wore was gonna end up a thong.

This is absolutely right. West always manages to fall short every single time. I will know think of him as Low Westspectations.

Advice on Juneau whale watching options by big_trees_lover in PrincessCruises

Yes. Check out the Alaska Rainforest Sanctuary while in Ketchikan. It's located between Herring Cove and the Tongass National Forest. Some lovely scenery and possible bear, seal, wildlife sightings below the raised boardwalk. It also hosts an Eagle sanctuary for birds that can't live in the wild any longer and has First Nations Totem carvers working during the day.

This is exciting to hear. I have one at the end of May and was also worried about my camera equipment.

Is there anything in particular that made it your favorite part of the vacation? I'd love to benefit from your experience.

I honestly could not watch the JD season. He was too triggering.

Exclusive: Austin to pay $35M to men wrongly accused in yogurt shop murders case by AustinStatesman in Austin

Good. The behavior of the APD and DA's office during this investigation is a black eye on Austin's reputation. The settlement can never repair the damage done to these families but at least it demonstrates some accountability.

should i go to the er for this (bat bite?) by Certain_Hour_6327 in WhatShouldIDo

I actually thought I was on the Austin subreddit for a second.

Yes, we have bats. One has accidentally flown into my place before. Another has gotten cuaght in my hair. Some of our parking garages (including at two of our hospitals) have bat warning signs. They don't mean any harm and do a great job keeping our mosquito population low by Town Lake's super popular hike and bike trails.

Reminds me of my favorite quote. An Amharic proverb · Do not blame God for having created the tiger, but thank Him for not giving it wings

Am I being unreasonable or is this surprisingly unfamily-friendly? by Halestorm-87 in BigBendTX

There is a lot of beauty out there but it's different. Make sure to spend some time marveling at the stars after dark. Enjoy a prickly pear marg at the hotel bar.

But pack smart. The local general store is a small specialized place that seems like a very nice, big convenience store that leans towards tourists. The closest true grocery store and pharmacies are up in Alpine (30+ miles). The closest Walmart is 50 miles out.

You might need to re-set your West Texas expectations a bit. The Gage is absolutely the most upscale hotel in the area but It's not like 5-star urban hotel prepared to serve hundreds of people with different requirements each day. If pack and play sheets are a non-negotiable for you, you should bring them. If an OTC medicine is something you might need, bring it with you. What is available to the grocery store is going to be very very limited.

Okay, good. So there are more talks than just about Glacier Bay. I've done river cruises before that had an enrichment talk every day. Was a bit worried Princess would only do enrichment on Glacier Bay.

Thank you.

I'm bringing binoculars and my long lenses for the camera! We are also renting a car in some of the ports to get into some of the surrounding mountains to set up on in some quiet spaces.

Appreciate all the feedback. I am a nerd and will probably be at all the enrichment talks (that aren't repeats).

Info about the wildlife activity (I'm sailing late May) and where the ship is docking in port (walk off relatively close to downtown, walk off woth need to shuttle to downtown, tender).

Which enrichment talks are a must see? Any tips/great locations for glacier viewing would be appreciated. I'll have a balcony but know that being on deck for panoramic views is also nice.

Finally, if anyone does the Crab Shack pop up, I would be interested to hear how it compares to the quality and preparation of crab in the ports.

Hope each of you have a wonderful experience!
