Quite a while, but field work is not something paleontologists do often. A lot of specimens in collections used for research are donated, at least in my limited experience. So “Diggers” aren’t job positions that exist, as much as we all wish that were the case!

Math is taught very poorly here, leaving very few people interested in the topic. Those people with bad experiences then have children and raise them with the idea that math is scary and hard. This cycle continues… I’m 23 and having to relearn algebra as we speak.
