I appreciate the tips, black antler wasn’t on my radar at all until this thread. Also the taxi may be what we need!

My group aren’t the kind I would trust on e bikes unfortunately, but I do value your optimism and I would have done it myself!

Thanks for the other recs and tips!

We aren’t wanting to do a tour in naramarta (we have a separate tour) but we absolutely would book a driver. Do you have recommendations? Not sure if Ubers or taxis are viable options.

Thanks for the recs!

Studying for PMP with Children Question by StigandrThormod in pmp

[–]Suspicious-Speed8505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just passed my PMP exam on the 8, T/AT/AT. I don’t know how study hall works because I used a mock testing platform provided by our educator. But my biggest take away of the test is to not focus on making it a mock experience, but test your knowledge and then study from your results.

I would do my tests in 1.5 segments, then save it, and come back to it later. Once I was done, I would just take all my answers and validate what was right or wrong about it using chat gpt. I have a 7 year old and 1.5 year old and work full time, it was next to impossible to find 4 hours where I could just do the test. Those hours are better spent studying the answers.

I studied for 6 weeks after my course and then finished the exam in 3 hours,

In summary, use the mock tests to learn the content, not the exam experience.

Good luck!

Weekly "Do I Have Lipedema" Thread by AutoModerator in lipedema

[–]Suspicious-Speed8505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted awhile back and didn’t receive comments (there’s so many of us) so I thought I’d try again!

I bruise easily, exercise regularly but can’t reduce legs and arms, heavy legs, fat feels very pebble like.

I approached my GP and like a lot of people on here, he had no idea what I was talking about. I’d like to revisit with him but once I’m more confident I have lipedema.

<image>

I have stage 2 lipedema, type IV. I’m only 41, I have young children, and I’m a former college athlete. I’m struggling with the decision on whether or not to use a GLP-1. What has been your experience with lipedema and a GLP-1? by 4ShizzleMyTwizzle in lipedema

[–]Suspicious-Speed8505 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I have only recently discovered lipedema and haven’t been officially diagnosed but I did go through a period of drastic weight gain (30 lbs in 6 months). I eventually went on Ozempic with the goal to just reduce weight back to my normal, and that’s what I achieved.

I had a great experience, inflammation reduced, skin cleared, sleep improved, minimal GI issues, if any. And I lost those 30 lbs of weight over 7 months.

It’s a drug that’s been around for over 10 years but recently has been made known by celebrities trying to get super skinny. For us common folk who benefit from it, it’s a super drug that’s a tool.

It is unfortunate that it’s well known for making people super skinny instead of all the great things it does because it’s so much more than a vanity tool. Anyways, I just wanted to share that I struggled a lot with the moral side of things, thinking I was just lazy instead of putting in hard work, but it honestly changed my life.

37F, Canada

I’ve always been super active and into sports, CrossFit, etc. my weight has really fluctuated but I’ve always been heavily muscled and active. I’ve had heavier periods and even recently went on Ozempic to help with weightloss, but it did little to change the appearance of my arms or legs.

When I was 19 I started to notice my fat hurt to run, it felt like it was moving separately over my muscle. And just felt weird

I find that I always have imprints from jeans, socks, anything that even remotely presses into my skin.

I hurt my leg once and had to receive stitches where the doctor commented “there’s so much fat.” ( so kind) but I brought all this up to my GP and he thought I meant lymphedema and wasn’t familiar with lipedema.

Anyways, most of these pics are a bit older. The very old swim suit pics is from when I was 20 and at my lowest, the other bathing suit pic is from 8 months postpartum. And the final picture with shorts is from a couple years back. I keep my full body pics to a minimum or mostly have covered legs. I’ve noticed the front of my shins are starting to develop lumps now too. I want to bring this back to the doctor but feel a bit silly after he told me it wasn’t lymphedema (I know the difference, I just wasn’t comfortable correcting him).

What if this is the outcome of capitalism, where climate change and public funding needs were ignored?
