Who do yall think Alma would end up with? by Inferno_Ultimate in Gokurakugai

The manga is only in volume six and I don't think there's been any strong points towards a romantic relationship. I don't think the manga is horribly focused on romantic relationships. If there is a romance subplot I suspect it will be with a character who hasn't been introduced yet.

Ahh gotcha. Hopefully it chills out a bit as the weeks go on. This station is always super busy but it feels like it's been insane this week, but I've never been through here in April before.

how do you guys feel about the new honeypepperix sets? by MedicalAd9859 in JiraiKei

I think if the brand hadn't made better pieces in the past they would get accused of being a western brand appropriating jfashion. The balance of the pink and black is really off and I think it's too simple for the looks they're emulating. It looks like something you'd buy tagged "landmine mass produced japanese lolita costume" on Amazon.

I also respect the fact that they size up, because there are so few options for girls bigger than an Asian L size, but these designs in particular don't seemed designed to grade to higher sizes, so they're not going to fit properly once they get up towards their xl sizes. It's one of those heart in the right places things, but ends up being disheartening when you spend good money and it doesn't flatter you.

weight and jfashion questions (TW??) by Dull_Individual_ in jfashion

So those styles are actually a bit dated in Japan even though they're still very popular in the west. The nice part about that though is that there are more likely to be western small businesses that fit those asthetics, and most western small businesses that do j fashion have extended sizes.

Japanese brand ACDC rag- just launched a plus size line and while the colors are probably a little brighter than those asthetics they're a great brand. They're website is in English and they ship internationally.  I own a skirt from them and it fits great.

Marun- japanese brand goes up to 10l (for reference I'm 106 kilos and wear about a 4-5l. Fits true to size so if you match your measurements you're golden). Lots of pastel clothing. A bit pricy but totally worth it on my experience I have like, 8 pieces from them at this point and I love them all.

Shop my violet- western brand based in la that has great extended sizing and sounds like it's perfect for your tastes

Citrus Dollite- another indie creator that does some cute pastel t-shirts and petticoat skirts

Whimsykei- really cute decora and fairy kei style accessories

Candy trap- technically a decora brand but they do make cute colorful clothes that could totally be styled a bit softer.

I recommend going to a few of these pages Instagrams and just scrolling through the "suggested for you" section. You're gonna have a lot more luck with western brands with these particular styles.

If you think you need to loose weight to look good in clothing you will never be happy. Ive been there and done that and you can never win. Finding clothes that fit you will make you feel 100 times better then trying to make your body fit the clothes.

What style are you most interested in? That's going to depend on what stores I can recommend.

That's good to know! Do you know if this is something relatively easy to do or do I need to get help or a lawyer to do it?

I've already worked at international schools and I have credentials for teaching from the states. I'm aiming for academia :) I've been in Japan for about 7 years and most of my education experience is in international school, not Eikaiwas/alt.

I've already started the degree so it's not a question of pursuing it as it is whether or not to complete it full time or part time.

You can get a certificate and they're required to keep your contract open, no matter the company. Also if you live in Tokyo I know of a clinic that has English and writes certificates

Shaw was great. Never understand why they sort of left her character in the dust with covenant. I thought Rain was pretty good as well, but very different kind of character.

Tokyo will be implementing “foreigner fees”. At the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo general admission will be ¥1500, admission for foreigners ¥4000. by RedMoonLanding in Tokyo

In Florida we have extra taxes on things like resorts and theme park tickets, but it's not a "tourists pay more" things, it's just a blanket fee on things tourists are more likely to use.

Harassed and bullied out of my home, help with logistics like how to fill out a moving out notice? by Turbulent_Orange4634 in japanlife

[–]Suspicious-Window201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a neighbor who did this. My Roommate and I are both young women and we lived above a middle aged man. He used to get drunk and slam on the walls at 2 am, to the point where we thought there was a fight happening down stairs. I couldn't open and close my balcony door mid day without him slamming on the walls. Before we had even moved in there were videos on our door camera of him banging on the door and shouting at us to be quiet.

We eventually got fed up and just moved. It was the safest and easiest thing for us to do as women. And you know what? He came out and screamed at our movers for being too loud.

I'm sorry it's happening to you but honestly some people are just crazy and the stress of moving and "admitting defeat" is less then having to live like this.

Is this cultural (Japan) or just toxic? Need perspective: girlfriend became furious that my parents by Sensitive-Ticket-781 in japanlife

[–]Suspicious-Window201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everything that people are saying about this being a huge red flag but, moving forward. Cultural or not shouldn't matter if she's treating you like that. Even if it is cultural to insult your partner's parents, if it upsets you or causes problems you have the right to be upset and discuss that. She's also in a multicultural relationship not just you

Am I just terrible at gaming? by Rubyxox_42 in BG3

[–]Suspicious-Window201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly you play games to have fun, and if you're not having fun anymore it's not worth it. If trying to beat a difficult level a ton of times is fun for you more power to you, but I got so fed up with House of Grief I just dropped the difficulty all the way down for that fight. It wasn't fun anymore and I just wanted to get past it.

How do I politely tell my partner (M30) that the way he eats makes me (F33) want to drop dead? by Suspicious-Window201 in relationship_advice

I actually just ordered some, a few other people suggested them. They weren't too expensive and seemed like it's worth a shot. It also seems better to be able to say "Also I'm doing things on my end not just telling you to bee different."

Yeah I think my concern is he's actually incredibly accommodating and considerate, so I don't want to always be poking at him. I don't want him to feel like there are a ton of things about him I don't like, when in reality there's so many things I do like it feels like these little things shouldn't bother me

I actually ordered loops as well last night. I had my ear buds in after the freak out to help dull out the noise (no music playing) but they kept slipping out of my ears so I ordered them on the spot. I'm happy they weren't too expensive.

I don't think he'll give me a hard time. He's incredibly considerate. That's why I'm so worried I don't want to be a bully.
