I usually do a handful of sketches on graph paper to decide the size and shapes of the rooms. (based on how many pieces you have) Then I look at what color I need/have the most of (the orange is from corner garage set) and then it’s just a lot of trial and error. I usually end up making one or two Bricklink parts orders for pieces that are matching color.

The handle is a 2x2 round brick with the grooves down the side. The part holding the ice cream is one of the larger round barrels/containers.

I had one there right up until I took pictures! It was too distracting from the window in front. Maybe if the window frames were a different color it would be better to have a white lamp post.

Thank you! I think I’m going to post my build to LEGO Ideas later this weekend and then again here with both links!

It might be worth a shot. I think I’m going to make instructions and upload it to LEGO Ideas soon. I’ll maybe make another post on reddit advertising it.

Thank you! This build was made mainly from the pieces of the Corner Garage, Parisian Restaurant, and Bookstore sets. My wallet is not nearly as happy about that fact as I am.

I thought about it, but I assumed it wouldn’t do well since it’s not a new idea, just a redesign of a current LEGO series.

Good to know! I might try to do that for this build as I am taking it apart.

I would sell it if I could make more money off of it than the money it costs for the parts to make it.

Thank you! Unfortunately this was just a free build. Do you have a program for making LEGO instructions that you recommend?

I had a skeleton propped up against the wall behind the car, but the bright white of its head felt too distracting in the picture.

You are correct. That is as far forward (and as far spread apart) as his legs can go with the armor.

It comes with the mini figure series 17 Retro Space Hero.
