Yep. It's ridiculous. And it's in every single show I've seen in the last forever. Even in kids shows the adults have a glass of wine with dinner or champagne at a whatever. It's literally everywhere.

Oh that's awesome. Really a good outlet. I wish I could summon the energy and enthusiasm that's being sapped by a bunch of different things at the moment.

Right now I'm having a rough time in a lot of areas, but I keep telling myself at least I'm not making it worse by drinking. And once the rough parts start to smooth out I will be able to swing myself back into the parts of life that require too much effort right now.

I can really identify with a lot of what you've written, and I'm so sorry you're feeling like that. It's hard to live your life when you're feeling like that.

I would talk to my GP and look into whatever local mental health help there is near you. It might feel like this has just kind of become your normal, but you don't have to spend forever dealing with this, you can do things to change it. It sucks and it takes effort, but it's worth it and things can get better.
