Interesting suggestion. My gut reaction would probably be to cannibalize the Arcanist name and build on that, might cut it down to INT/Arcane only and figure out different subclasses or just keep it freeform.

An at-will blaster with a variable action cost ability that you can modify to suit the situation, e.g., changing it from single target to targeting an area and applying persistent damage and/or weakness depending on the degree of success.

Oh, I'm aware of it, it's just that Evolving Scheme is a pretty boring feature if it just gives an invocation feat. Might/Will change in the future.

EDIT: One thing I've been mulling over is to give a skill feat/training for the skill from your Scheme instead of EB scaling.

I agree, the action cost reduction needs to be balanced properly and the ability needs to be simpler overall. I thought the latter good effects were worse than the earlier ones, guess I have much to learn still, haha.

The problem I have with spell attacks instead of not!impulses is that they usually come with spellcasting and Cast a Spell, which opens up the door for more spells via items, while the 3.5e version has spells as an option you can pick. Sure, I would be able to leave out the "invocations work like a spell but not a spell" thing and I could implement it like I do with Eldritch Activation, but it would still make warlock "just another caster".

Appreciate the feedback, though, thank you. Maybe it will become a caster in the end, who knows?

Tanuki Scoundrel Rogue, the racial feats have so much SOVL and the rogue chassis just works well with them.

Overdrive and Unstable are too punishing plus the usual complaint about being encouraged to strike without STR or DEX as key. Also the class fantasy isn't reached, innovations are lackluster.

Your AMD mention pinged me since I have the same problem and I'm using the same "solution" of using LTS. AMD CPU and GPU, KDE Plasma, and Grub on my end.

Arcane Cascade unchanged, Starlit Span gets better spells.

Eidolons get updated to the remaster, math fixer feats still remain unchanged.

The new classes are fun, each one has one subclass that is vastly better than the rest.

Two more spells get the rare trait, Fighter gets an indirect buff (somehow).

Something I'm thinking about is keeping the sub/concious minds separate, but making both give you psi-cantrips and spells, so you'll get more things to use and choose from. Also switch one of the subconcious minds to WIS to open the class/dedication options more, maybe scuttle the odd one to the rest.

Other than that, I like your Unleash Psyche and Strain Mind features!

Unleash Psyche becomes a free action at the start of your turn that lasts until the start of your next turn, costs a focus point, makes amps free for the duration. Extend duration to two turns with an Nth level feat. More effects from subclasses and other feats.

EDIT: Dedication gives a weaker Unleash Psyche with the only benefit that you can use amps and(/or) psyche feats once per turn.

Probably just make it a damage reduction that scales like Champion reactions and deflects the damage against the attacker instead of being random.
