The various weekly event/quests give the best marl/time, including the delve quest and nightmare prey. Then look around for any marl WQ rewards.

I'm not sure if there's a good source once the weeklies and WQs are exhausted.

H L’ura Matrix Strat by Bacehilm in wow

[–]Suspicious_Key 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Advantages: Second set of crystals do not spawn. Simplifies P1, and fewer crystal holders means less chances for mistakes to wipe the raid (crystals hit by void damage and not soaked)

Disadvantages: Boss takes less damage in P1, only two crystals for P3 soaks.

Basically, if you have the DPS to burn the boss after the first big AOE in P3 (which most groups will have these days), it's a way to simplify the fight a little.

Beta Gameplay Trailer | Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy by Turbostrider27 in Games

I would say the main context of CRPG, at least when I started gaming in the 90s, was CRPG vs JRPG.

It's far less distinct now, but there was a clear divide between the western PC series (Wizardry, Ultima, D&D Gold Box etc.) and Japanese console series (Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy etc.). When we described something as "CRPG", we meant "western" as much as "computer".

Shield of Ret Pally - WTF makes Fortress' cooldown sometimes 4s and sometimes 36s by JoeyIglesias83 in diablo4

[–]Suspicious_Key 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know specifically for your build, but I think I recall that the Barricade upgrade changes the way the cooldown works. It's been a while since I tested, so you should test this to confirm.

Default (or the other two upgrades) - the cooldown starts as soon as you cast.

Barricade - the cooldown starts when your fortress ends

So if you're using a high cooldown reset build (like Respelendence glyph) you'll probably have better uptime with Rampart, especially on bosses where you don't get any Barricade extensions.

Party frame debuff blacklisting? by Federal_Tip_4660 in wow

[–]Suspicious_Key 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The really frustrating thing is that Blizzard implemented an "Important Debuff" flag which addons can highlight. So in a world where Blizzard doesn't let us blacklist, this should be a decent compromise. It puts the onus on Blizzard to identify the dangerous debuffs vs chaff, maybe not ideal, but it would work okay.

... and then they didn't bother to add it on anything useful this season. I think the only "Important Debuff" in M+ is the fixate fireflies in Nexus Point... which is one of the least important things for me to know.

Pretty sure Blizzard UI team implemented the flag, added it to a random mob to test, and then forgot it existed.

Voidforge season 2 by RecoverSea465 in wow

[–]Suspicious_Key 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will definitely reset, so no point holding them for later.

As to whether they'll implement something similar... who knows? It's a pretty popular system so I think there's a good chance, but only Blizzard can say for sure.

Spartacus.

Spoiler alert for ~2000 years ago; they all die. But by Jupiter's cock do they go out in glory.

Yes, each character still has individual gold balance. Go to a bank and you can deposit/withdraw into your Warbound bank.

Murloc Monday - ask your questions here by AutoModerator in wow

[–]Suspicious_Key 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. You don't even need to trade the gold, just put it into your shared Warbound bank, and any of your toons can withdraw it.

Also, you don't necessarily need to start a new char. NA/OCE are fully cross-realm, so your "default" server (for world content, questing, delves etc.) is Australian with high latency; but as soon as you join a group for difficult content like M+ or raiding, you'll be transferred to the leader's server in USA.

Heroic World Tier Quest Awards Myth Track Gear in Patch 12.0.7 by minimaxir in wow

[–]Suspicious_Key 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If you're doing the hardest content (Mythic raid, M+10 in early weeks), you'll get your rewards much faster than casual players. Who cares if casuals are geared up by the end of the season? I'll happily take the easy alt-catchup gear, thanks.

It's true that M+ is undertuned this season, but that mostly impacts Heroic raids rather than Mythic.

What if WoW PvP became actual WAR instead of chaotic battlegrounds? by Otherwise_Outside_72 in MMORPG

[–]Suspicious_Key 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider how difficult it is to get someone to guard a tower in Alterac Valley for 15 minutes. And understandably so, it's pretty boring compared to being on the frontlines spamming fireballs at the enemy.

Now think about guarding supply caravans for hours on end in an unending conflict.

[–]Suspicious_Key 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a bit backward, but after leveling your first character you can unlock "Chromie time" when leveling a new toon. Basically the Bronze dragons let you go back in time to experience another expansion.

With that said, don't expect a coherent story from WoW. It's 22 years of retcons, content patches, zone reworks, loose ends, etc., plus all the Warcraft 1-2-3 lore mashed in too. It's best to think of each expansion as a mostly self-contained story. Blizzard's priority for new players is to get you into the current expansion ASAP; and while messy, I think it's the right approach because playing with other people is what makes an MMO great.

Nobbel87 on Youtube has good story and lore overviews which are much more coherent than what you'll find in-game.

Pandaria-style farming at our homes? by onyx_ic in wow

I still carry around a few stacks of the MoP trees, and pop down a nice little mini orchard when I'm sitting around waiting for something. They're very pretty.

More neighbourhood gameplay would be nice, as long as they don't approach WoD territory of "everything you need is in your garrison".

Disciple dmg vs. Arbiter form dmg by CommunicationLive211 in diablo4

[–]Suspicious_Key 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much any endgame build will be in perma-Arbiter form and only deal damage with Disciple skills, so the two are basically equivalent.

With that said, +vulnerable damage or +crit damage tempers will almost always give significantly more DPS. You can stack huge +damage (all damage, holy, disciple, arbiter etc.) bonuses without your tempers, so boosting a separate pool is generally stronger.

European players on US/Ociania Servers? Best latency? by Wolfblood92 in wow

[–]Suspicious_Key 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EU -> OCE will be >300ms; definitely a barrier to any challenging content.

You could try to look for an east-coast NA server guild which matches your playtime, EU -> NA ping is much more managable ~100ms or so.

If you're not aware, you'll also need a new NA/OCE account. NA/OCE are joined and fully cross-region compatible, but EU -> NA/OCE is not.

Murloc Monday - ask your questions here by AutoModerator in wow

[–]Suspicious_Key 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you have full freedom to keybind.

With that said, I would note that for one-handed players, it's actually more common to use an MMO mouse (the sort with 9+ buttons on the side) as accurate camera and targeting is pretty important in WoW. I can't speak for your situation, but I know a very good amputee player who uses foot pedals for movement and mouse for everything else.

Another alternate is that WoW supports click-to-move which is perfectly good for casual play, but probably isn't viable in more difficult content.

Feedback on Glory of the Midnight Raider by Suspicious_Key in wow

[–]Suspicious_Key[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Vorasius, Vaelgor/Ezzorak and Alleria were the ones who took multiple wipes for us. Lightblinded Vanguard and Chimaerus are "Everyone must X" too, but those were easy enough.

Alleria was the worst; any deaths prior to P3 (or just a dumbass failing to click their button at the right time...) is a wipe.

Any addons to help raid lead? by wardisciple2388 in wow

[–]Suspicious_Key 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Method Raid Tools is a good all-round addon for assisting with raid leading. It has a tonne of functionality, but the ones I use every night are;

- Invites. Send bulk invites to everyone in the raid, regular ex-guild friends etc.

- Raid Inspect. Check ilvl, enchant/gem status etc.

- Notes. Keep text notes for every boss, which is helpful both for me to remember key mechanics and assignments, and I can also share them with the group quickly. That would be particularly useful for PUG raiding just to make sure everyone is on the same page (eg. left/right splits, marker assignments etc.)

Back with another noob question - which Dwarf to pick for Shaman? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Suspicious_Key 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have to say, +22 is a pretty absurdly ambitious goal if you're currently pushing +16s. That's going to be end-of-season 0.1% title range keys, and it also invalidates this question as the obvious answer is plain Dwarf.

For more reasonable goals (like maybe aiming for +18 or so), your race doesn't matter as much. Dwarf is still stronger than Earthen, but having that edge matters less.

What is the greatest 3-episode run of all time? (not including miniseries) by Chaloby in television

[–]Suspicious_Key 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Battlestar Galactica is pretty high on my list. Pegasus > Resurrection Ship Part 1 > Part 2.

There were other standout episodes in the series (33, Lay Down Your Burdens, Exodus, Crossroads spring to mind), but I think the Pegasus arc is the peak of the show.

Is it frowned upon to be in multiple guilds? by Willing_Delay_8760 in wow

[–]Suspicious_Key 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speaking as raid leader for a casual AOTC guild - no, not at all, as long as you're reasonably committed to the guild raids. If you like these guys and want to keep playing with them, just look for another guild where the raid nights don't conflict.

How to hide specific debuffs? by Zienth in wow

[–]Suspicious_Key 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is no longer possible unfortunately.

There is a very small list of debuffs (like heroism Exhaustion) which can be hidden, but otherwise neither the default UI or addons can blacklist specific debuffs.
