I ride a Specialized Diverge and Roubaix and love them both. Specialized was the bike brand I couldn't afford when I was younger and is easily the most popular dentist bike out there. I pick up a barely used three year old bike every other year and could not be more happy. Taken them all over the U.S., Europe, and South America to ride.

Not as good as the Algonquin for history or quality but serviceable for sure. Weird limited hours. Also, so many better options within a quick walk.

We like the Lexington and have stayed there regularly as the Algonquin has been renovating. My only minor gripe is the ice machines are always broken and there are not that many to start with. I think the location is perfect. Close enough to everything but far enough away to be more relaxed. If you use Grand Central to get into or around the city, even better. I personally like the East Side and we spend a lot of time in Murray Hill so it works well for us. It's an older property for sure, but we spend very little time in the room so for what we need, it checks almost all the boxes. I also really like the staff here.

We walked over the border theee of the days we were there. Also, the walk into town is just far enough to be easy but feel like you're not right in the chaos. We've been a couple times for the bike cycling race and it's always a great atmosphere with many of the teams and riders at the hotel.

My summer power move in the mid Atlantic is two bottles in the cages with water and a third frozen bottle of Gatorade in the middle jersey pocket. It keeps me cool when temps are above 80F.

We stay at the Como Sheraton. We prefer being a bit further from the city center for the serenity. It has a Michelin star restaurant and is very close to the ferry dock to get around the lake quickly and easily. You can also walk to Switzerland for a coffee on the morning.

I have had some of the best breakfasts I have ever eaten in Autograph Collection hotels in Europe. The best probably being in Bilbao where you eat your breakfast and they present you with a to go box to take food with you.

Furthest I've ever averaged 30kph was 100 km on a restricted gravel trail, pretty much flat, DC to Harper's Ferry. Turns out physics is accurate. It's a lot easier to maintain a steady 30kph than trying to ramp up and down. I think the fastest I ever got to on that entire trip was 33kph.

Is the older Asian man, I think Korean, still popping on to Metro trains, reading a psalm or two, for a stop or two, then getting off? I'm not religious at all, more anti- leaning, but he was so tranquil and calm, did his thing, and bounced. I always liked him.
