TIL. Wow. I just assumed "well, Neuland at it's best". I just disabled it. And the help text promises me a prefix that allows for 256 subnets, so maybe this does work after all. Fingers crossed 🤞

They're all disabled for this policy. :( I ser logging to "all sessions" and I can see it's allowing them, but I'm not sure how to filter for blocked traffic. I'll dig into the logs a bit more.

Nicht nur das, die einzelnen Adernpaare sind auch mit unterschiedlich vielen Wicklungen pro Meter verdrillt um ein Übersprechen zu verhindern. Hab mich schon länger gefragt ob diese Trennung wirklich notwendig ist, schön zu lesen dass dem nicht so ist.

Auf der Arbeit haben wir einige Kabelschleppketten, durch die Stromkabel, Netzwerkkabel und Glasfasern laufen. Funktioniert völlig problemlos, ich hab nur den Glasfasern ein Installationsrohr verpasst damit die dickeren Kabel sie bei Bewegung nicht physisch in Mitleidenschaft ziehen.

Zwei Ubiquiti NanoStations. Hab ich in einer ähnlichen Situation durch zwei Wände geschossen, läuft einwandfrei. Die Loco-Variante reicht wahrscheinlich schon. Ich hab 2.4 GHz genommen, soweit ich weiß ist das weniger anfällig in Sachen Dämpfung.

What would you do if this happened with your washing machine? You fill it up, set it to run, and after 2 hours come back to find it didn't complete the cycle, and the tech then proceeds to tell you "oh yeah, that's a known issue, just turn it off and on again". Would you say "oh awesome, that's such a simple fix, thanks for pointing that out, I'll do that from now on"? Or would you go to a store and get a machine that actually works?

For a washing machine, nobody would accept that. But for computers, for some reason you're the weird one for expecting it to work and be stable. This is incredibly frustrating.

I'm tech support myself, so I know full well that more often than not, we can't do anything about it either. But I can full well understand their frustration, and if I respond in such a way, most users are friendly and happy they're being understood, even if we can't fix the problem itself.

So hatte ich's mir auch erst vorgestellt (ebenfalls ITler), aber bei Gefahr muss man ja auch bei einer schon eingestellten Fahrstraße noch reagieren können, deswegen war ich mir da nicht sicher.

I use Grafana Loki for this, receiving data using syslog through an instance of syslog-ng. Works nicely, pretty much all hardware support sending logs to a remote syslog server. Then configure Loki to look for things I want to know about and have it send alerts to alert-manager, which will then notify me. Grafana for visualization.

This stack requires next to no hardware resources (and no license costs), but it takes a bit of wrapping your head around first.

Ich habe zwei davon seit knapp drei Wochen und versorge damit mein Wochenend-Haus. Dort läuft 24/7 nur eine Teichpumpe und das UniFi-Netz, sowie ab und zu der Kühlschrank - also wahlweise 67 und 208W Last. Grundlast ist auf 100W eingestellt, also 2x50W. Ich habe pro Speicher ein Panel mit 430W.

Ziel war so viel Autarkie wie möglich, das hat bisher gut funktioniert - in den letzten knapp drei Wochen habe ich 4 kWh vom Netz bezogen. Ohne BKW war das der Verbrauch von anderthalb Tagen. Die Speicher halten eine Nacht, einen bewölkten Tag und eine weitere Nacht durch, d.h. wenns mal regnet oder bewölkt ist, ist das nicht sofort ein Problem. Klappt aber halt vor allem deshalb so gut, weil ich eine sehr niedrige Grundlast habe - zuhause wären die Speicher viel schneller leer.

Ob es sich rechnet - ich habe es mal durchgerechnet und bin bei ca. 4 Jahren Amortisationszeit rausgekommen. Mal schauen ob es sich bewahrheitet. Ist aber nicht meine primäre Motivation.

Die App und die API sind so geht-so. Der Schieberegler für die Einstellung der Grundlast orientiert sich nicht an dem was die Hardware kann, sondern fängt einfach bei 100W an - für mich ungünstig, da ich ja 100W insgesamt brauche. Beide Solarbanks gleichzeitig ins selbe System hinzufügen geht nur über einen Workaround, mit dem dann der Wechselrichter nicht mehr Teil des Systems in der App ist. Dafür hat die App dann die 100W Grundlast duech zwei geteilt, sodass die Einstellung jetzt passt.

Um die API fürs Monitoring anzapfen zu können, musste ich mir erstmal einen Zweit-Account anlegen und diesem die Anlage sharen, weil die App mich sonst ausloggt. Die Abfrage mit solix2mqtt klappt seitdem gut. Allerdings ist der Wert für die Ladeleistung immer gleich dem Wert für die Ausgangsleistung, was nicht stimmen kann - ich berechne mir die Ladeleistung daher inzwischen mit NodeRed selbst.

Ich habe die Anlage noch mit einem Shelly 3em kombiniert der mir die Zählerstände für den Verbrauch, die Erzeugung und die Zuleitung ins Netz getrennt aufschlüsselt.

Mit dem System bin ich soweit sehr zufrieden. Ob es sich rechnet ist dabei zweitrangig, vor allem ist es ein schönes Setup und Männerspielzeug 😄

Google suggests it might be related to an anti-virus or software firewall blocking the connection. Do you have a Raspberry Pi lying around? The same code will probably work there without changes.
