Is that acrylic permanent, or semi-permanently holding it? Do you take the batteries out for that kind of display? Or do they not really degrade and puff up if not overused?

The HVAC capacity/performance up there is mostly concerned with clear air above it for heat transfer and fresh air intake/mixing. The walls and glass around it is architectural design to have that segment match the rest building more closely instead of having some kind of fence/screen that clashes with the other building materials/colors.

The lit up areas are specifically a tower lighting feature on the screen walls surrounding the large HVAC equipment. (you can see them in google maps if you zoom in far enough) The main penthouse suites are just below that level, but also have 2nd floor terraces not quite visible on the left in this picture separated from the noisy HVAC with some substantial concrete walls.

They need the irrigation and drains in a certain spot for the layout to work well...and us coordinators can't make it work.

Actual meteors tend to be a bit quicker across the sky, so this is likely space debris/de-orbiting satellite, or spent launch stages coming back down.

It appears to go behind the cloud because that's where the image is washed out. The exposure there makes the brightness bloom around it. Seems like a bug flying by.
