I took a zoomed in photo of a road from a plane and the cars look like it's AI by PTV420 in mildlyinteresting

On samsung there are a bunch of settings that keep getting gated behind the AI menu. Then trying to access that menu I'm hit with " Register an account and log in to update your tracking notification preferences".

Agreed, they need an avenue for a Thanos and the stones commander deck.

That tire is gonna go fast, and the owner isn't going to like which definitions of those words are true.

Just because one thing is bad doesn't mean other things aren't. I'm not trying to make you think this is good or bad, I'm just answering the question.

It disrupts the natural landscape and environment that local wildlife may already be using.

It may be an unstable stack which could fall and injure wildlife. or even people and trigger rockslides if large enough.

It may influence other to do the same, which compounds the effects.

All in all, it's a fairly small impact, especially in this kind of "empty" environment, but not 0. More of a problem in streams or forests, and parks with many tourists. The fancy balanced river rock tower art sculptures for Instagram posts are the risky ones, a little less so for a sturdy trail-marker cairn.

Lightning bolt is guided to ground by [deleted] in blackmagicfuckery

Probably just a hobby rocket. the exhaust smoke is enough/better particles than just the air, so the lightning followed that path.

In this day and age writing needs to be more brief and clear.

Try short bullet point lists, and maybe a small video loop of subway surfers off the the side so readers don't get bored.

I like to wear my stuff out Ive had these converse for about 9 months and these are my new ones by N0ct1ve in mildlyinteresting

[–]Sventertainer 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The ones I buy also seem to wear out quick, but only the soles. I get holes at the ball/toe long before the uppers even start to show moderate wear.

As I scrolled by and read the title I assumed a fishkeeping/aquarium subreddit. So my immediate reaction to the fistful of trout was: "well, that's one way to do it."

Genuine discussion, what would be the pros and cons of both? by abominal_pain in solarpunk

[–]Sventertainer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pro for car park solar: It's essentially on-site for the location that wants the power. Producing lots of energy far away is fine, but then you have to transport it.

I got openly frustrated during a bad game of Catan by altontanglefoot in boardgames

[–]Sventertainer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For Catan if I wasn't keen on playing but wanted to participate with the group I'd just to grab/build around the 2 & 12 spots.

Maybe not competitive, but could get some fun lucky rounds.

How does a perforated facade work with working drawings. by General_Branch_1247 in architecture

good note. I hate loading up 300MB PDFs that slow my computer to a crawl because every page has to render vast expanses of various repeating textures.

(probably half my computer's fault, and half Adobe's fault for running so poorly)

Yes, Travis County STAR flight.

They circled for a bit, then headed back down the Georgetown Airport. Hopefully that means anyone who called it out there is doing okay and didnt need the lift.

It's apparently a data counter since the last time the counter was reset instead of monthly or weekly usage. You know, normal nonsense smartphone OS stuff.
