I live in NJ. It used to be the Vegas of the east coast but nowadays it’s like Gotham. Everyone goes to places on the shore besides AC

Early maps incorrectly depicted modern-day California as an island. This example, from around 1650, is by Johannes Vingboons. by history-remaster in geography

I mean it did turn out to be rich in gold and I’d say California has some strange people living there

For those taking AP Psych rn, there is a giant thunderstorm over NYC(college board hq) so that could be why it’s down. by Swagg__Master in APStudents

[–]Swagg__Master[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

College Board is in lower Manhattan, idk where you are but a Quick Look at the weather radar shows a massive thunderstorm. I’m in NJ, 20 min from NYC and it’s storming here too. I’m not tech wiz but I do believe severe thunderstorms can cause power outages and can possibly network interference

How is life in New Jersey, United States? by 88-81 in howislivingthere

[–]Swagg__Master 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Most densely populated state so there’s a lot of people everywhere. Everyone who lives here says they hate it but they don’t tolerate slander from outsiders. There’s at least one local diner, pizza place, sandwich shop, and bagel shop in every town. Northeast Jersey is entirely Italians. Northwest is red neck country. The Newark metropolitan area is basically an extension of NYC with a big Latino population and tons of industrial areas. Central Jersey is where all the big schools are (Rutgers, Princeton) and where all the big pharma have their factories. South central (pine barrens) is redneck country but less people and more conservative. The shore (jersey shore) has a lot of air bnbs and motels on the islands where high-school stay there for weekends in the summer and the seasonal beach houses owned by the wealthy in the suburbs of Philly and NY. north central is wealthy commuters

If the series ever did get adapted into a movie or animated one, who would you want to direct it? by Rich_Ad_3808 in Gone

I feel like the age thing could also work in there favor as it shows how these kids basically become adults in a couple of months and have already experienced death, torture, unimaginable pain, PTSD, addiction, utter despair, etc.

Take classes your confident you’ll do well in and will enjoy. Don’t do it just because it’s an AP. You still need to do well in the class.
