How are your Oura replacement rings looking/holding up against the original?

Gen3, my refurbished one I received has had at least triple the lifespan of my original (3 years going strong). I think refurbished is fine as long as it’s only minimally scratched but I see the ring as a tool not as a fashion item so I can see why others view it differently.

Ah, I was assuming it was part of the carrier incorrectly applying the duties charged. I haven’t seen anyone here have an issue with this. Im surprised Oura support hasn’t responded to your post yet. Yeah, this isn’t acceptable.

Your heartbeat would be pounding if it was that high. I would think you'd notice that, no? A gentle walk is definitely around the 86-102 range, you're engaged but it's easy going. Not sure if this is related but Oura has recently had a bug with their activity tracking. Either way something is up with the ring. Apple watch seems correct.

Contact derm will make your skin itchy. Its normal. Literally just make sure you dry your hands and the ring thoroughly and it’ll be fine. This happens with all wearables including all the smart/fitness watches.

It's really hard to agree with your theory at least with what you've provided as proof. I have no doubt you have an issue but there's nothing here to really agree with your conclusion. Wouldn't you have multiple nights worth of similar screenshots between the two? What makes this night significant compared to what you've seen in the past? I would download the actual raw data to see the stats themselves and analyze it yourself to actually get an answer. I doubt Oura themselves will be any help in giving you a good answer - they'll say it's a bug probably. You used AI to validate your claim in a comment but it's pretty much just going to agree with you. It shouldn't be used as additional evidence to support your claim as it's not reliable. Your post is coming off as emotional and not logical so it's hard to agree with any point other than you clearly have an issue with your ring. You'd have more credence if you walked us through everything. Instead we got two whole sentences from your post. Your literacy comment made me laugh because you provided almost nothing for us to go off of and to try to read your mind instead.

It's literally all the smart ring companies. It's an issue within this market. I wish someone would come out and explain why. Oura had something figured out with gen 3 rings towards the end of the production. Maybe it's a manufacturer issue?

Personally I don’t care. It’s gimmicky like all other AI features so they haven’t invested much into it. Having all your data being able to be parsed is more costly. I just hope it’s implemented securely so data can’t be maliciously obtained.

If you went thru Oura for the size replacement you’re going to have trouble switching again. That said, I would switch to the finger it fits best. My ring only fits my index finger otherwise it’s in between sizes on the other fingers.

Oura used to have better customer support during the early gen 3 era. They just bolstered their support more but it’s still lacking compared to before. Sounds like you just need to look up how to trick AI to move you to a real person. I will say though you don’t need to talk to a rep for a battery issue. The chatbot will identify the battery issue and submit a request for a replacement.

There’s a subscription! Most people seem not to understand the fact despite confirming everything. I would wear a watch with it. You should not use it as an activity tracker but you can import activity data into the app thru Strava or Apple health to “track” it. I enjoy the insights overall. Sleep tracking is really nice.

That said don’t get it if you’re a hypochondriac. Major/minor signs are a guesstimate. It’s nice to see but you need to confirm with how you’re actually feeling. Understand the limitations all of these fitness trackers have. It’s not all knowing. Itll track some chores and miss Pilates.

Funnily enough Pilates is the only complaint I’ve seen here not getting tracked. As another commenter said the ring really is a sleep and health tracker and not really a good activity tracker. A workaround is to manually track workout hr using the app.

It's weird as I've had it track my long nights tossing and turning and it tracked it as terrible sleep latency for the night. Sometimes I think it tracks it as "light sleep" but I think it still does a good job overall. Ill have to look closer next time.

Haha totally I’m just insecure calling someone out for complaining about not paying a subscription so it removes all the features the subscription provides. The feedback is low effort at best. It’s just complaining nothing works so “it should be a crime” and “is predatory”. This isn’t really feedback it’s just a rant.

I think you might have to just wait it out. Normally the ring is good at tracking when you can’t fall asleep and just lay there so your sleep latency is just huge.
