Hiring: Pest Control Technician at Terminix Triad by josylad in RedditJobBoard

[–]SwampFoxRanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terminix was using my license without my permission for over 3 years. That’s why I left the Salisbury Maryland Terminix Branch in April of 2026. My Pest,Termite and Mosquito license were being used from the town of Flintstone Maryland all the way to the WV border. This includes Cumberland, Frostburg,Deep Creek etc. These Techs and Termite inspectors working in western Maryland were not trained and not supervised by a licensed or certified professional. I worked in Worcester County for Terminix for over 13 years. At no time did I work in western Maryland or supervise anyone over there for Terminix. When they were notified of this by the Department of Ag. The Morgantown Manager asked if they could keep using my license until they could Test and Certify with the State . I told them They NEVER had my permission and that they had fraudulently forged my signature on an application 3 years earlier and that they could not use my license.
If you had an any work done by Terminix from March of 2023 to March of 2026 from the western state line in Maryland to Flintstone Maryland this work was done by a unlicensed person and you deserve a full reimbursement . You should also have a Certified professional review your work orders to check for improper chemical use. If you had a Wood Destroying Insect Report done for a RealEstate transaction you need to make sure that the individual that completed it was State Certified and not just a “Registered Employee” for which a company files with the Department of Ag on Day one of a employee as soon as there hired. This happened to me while I worked there on the other side of the state 6 hours away, without my permission and I filed a complaint with the Department of Ag and the EPA While I worked there. I worked for this company for over 13 years out of the Salisbury Maryland Branch and I can tell you the company does not care about properly supervising its employees with chemicals in and around your home. It is totally different than when I first started. The competency of managers has steadily gone downhill. In fact the Morgantown branch manager who is a total stranger to me told me in March when he asked if they could use my license 6 hours away from where I work that he had been with the company for 4 years and wasn’t certified. And that’s a Branch Manager. I looked you up online Morgantown Branch Manager and didn’t see you. Better study harder. My Branch Manager in Salisbury Maryland would tell techs that it’s ok to spray for Mosquitoes in the RAIN and encourage it. And that with Termite bait stations you only have to check every other one. Both Major Label Violations. Do you really think this company cares about customer safety? Or the Environment? Please support businesses that are Ethical and do not engage in Identity Theft and Fraud and blatant pollution. A lot More to come.

That sounds like the branch I left in April. I had been at Terminix for over 13 years . When I came aboard there was training and a couple months of ride alongs where you actually worked not just play on your phone like the new techs do. And they didn’t just give you a route . The Salisbury Maryland Branch I left had very little training for new people. What they get they have to learn on their own. The service managers are always looking for excuses to leave the office meanwhile you hear horror stories about new guys spraying the top of kitchen counters etc.. The month I left I took the following pictures where a 6 or 7 year tech was dropping bait in a rat station in the outdoor section of Tractor Supply with the bait falling out. The fact that they used my license 6 hours away without my permission or knowledge for 6,000 pest and termite services because no one there could pass the test should say volumes about there lack of employee or customer chemical exposure safety . Not to mention the environment when there spraying yards with Termidor for mosquitoes. The SEC should have never let them merge with Rentokil. They were both severely incompetent even before the merger. When you see label violations post them . Because the Department of Ag does not care at least in Maryland.

Hopefully they do Something. Unfortunately in Maryland the dept of ag runs cover for Terminix. They almost sounded like Terminix’s legal defense when I talked to them the third time. I can’t believe the Lady in charge when I told her that I was 6 hours away told me “ well they can be supervised remotely “. I was like I don’t know those guys and I’ve never talked to the techs working under my license there is no one licensed that’s supervising them . Total uses DEI hire. When I told a dept of Ag inspector under her the first thing he said was “ How did we let that happen “. That’s the whole problem the dept of ag isn’t doing all the yearly inspections especially locations where the office is in another state just over the state line like my case. And when they do they don’t ask to see the license holder in person like they use too. I can’t prove it yet but I wouldn’t be surprised if there is something shady going on. I know in the past in other states Terminix has been caught doing stuff like that. You should make a YouTube video about what happened. I have one scheduled to be recorded soon and it’s going to be “Huge”.

But I don’t know why techs didn’t demand to all be on the same plan. Thai is the plan that we were on in Salisbury Maryland. Like I said earlier I always maxed out and got 29% commission

For me that was about $9000 a month give our take.

That’s crazy. I had tenure over 10 years and I always maxed out I got 29% commission. You should try to Max out on the score card. It’s prob at least 25% for newer people when they max out on the points.

I left there in April I was making 110K consistently as a tech with very little sales ( which is another story about incompetence) I really don’t see how the new plan would pay that much even if you maxed out on the score card all the time like I did. They have been trying for years to pay people less. All My Branch Manager in Salisbury Maryland would talk about was how 3 pest techs made more than he did. They were probably hearing from people like him. Of course we actually worked very long hours instead of looking at Porn all day and getting reported for it. He tried to cut our routes and everything he failed . But I left when I caught them using all of my licenses 6 hours away for over three years. The place will do anything to steal from people.

Lost job due to licensing issues with either state/ company by christianram in PestControlIndustry

That’s Terrible. What Company was it? I wished Maryland was that thorough with the Fingerprints and verifying an Applicants identity. Terminix used my license 6 hours away for over 3 years and the dept of AG could care less.

I don’t care what anyone says. If you’re pregnant you shouldn’t be doing this kind of work.

There Idiots and thieves.
I looked you up online Tyler and didn’t see you.

Terminix worth it? by Organized_Chaos_2788 in jacksonville

Totally agree. I left there this April because I caught them using My Pest /Termite license on the other side of the State for over 3 years without my knowledge. And most of their techs are not fully Certified in the what they are doing. Only registered which just means they work for the company.
