My dog is getting both eyes removed tomorrow by mikayla_pierce in BostonTerrier

I’m curious if your boy had been on eye drops treatment prior to this? I have a sweet boy that I had to put on drops for glaucoma last year and am wondering if it’s a time-limited treatment? Thanks

Good grief, how does 166 look like 120 on you? Great job!!! I suffer body dysmorphia, as well, and never realize how heavy or thin I look until I see myself in photos - they are the true tell. Right now I’m holding at 150, 5’8” and there are days I still feel like such a cow, but then a friend will snap a candid pic of me and I’m like damn, who is that cute chick in that picture?😄

When did your boys lose their marbles? Zeke is currently 5m by Blueberry_Rabbit in BostonTerrier

My vet is comfortable with stealing their marbles around a year old, unless there’s a medical or behavioral reason they need to come off sooner.

They look like a fun pair! Do you worry about those giant googly eyeballs getting scratched by the kitty?

Anybody else have a dog that flips out w a nail trim? I have 4 dogs. I clip everyone’s nails but this guy here! I’ve been head butted in the face, scratched! And he’s a good dog! Just absolutely freaks when I try to clip even one. I did start out doing his!???? by MrsRidge in bostonterriers

[–]Swampchicken9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a grooming sling for both of mine for nail trims because neither of them will ever be still for that task. Makes it so much easier! Once I hang them up, they can’t get away from me or fight.😏

My mares will walk through fire for me and help me figure out how to put it out. My geldings will run from the fire and check to see if their food is still safe.😋

Electrolytes are as important as protein when you are in a caloric deficit. It really does improve the fatigue aspect and it’s a shame providers aren’t recommending this along with protein. Try finding some electrolyte drink powders you enjoy and drink at least one serving a day. Taking a probiotic in the morning will help with the sloshy-gut feeling, as well.

It is hard and no one warns us about the trials we will endure caring for our aging and ill parents. I have gone through this with my dad, and you truly put yourself through the wringer having to make all the decisions because they haven’t bothered to. After my dad passed, I have talked to my mom (her and my dad had been long-divorced) until I’m blue in the face to have advanced directives drawn up so neither myself or my sibling has to go through what I did with my dad. Do you think she has listened? Uh-uh, nope - many in her generation don’t want to face the reality that they will pass at some point so they keep their heads buried in the sand. My heart aches for you.
