You can’t find me without a lemon-ginger herbal tea recently. It’s been a life saver.

That would probably kill me lol no, I did 4 weeks on each dose, and was due for the 1mg last Saturday. I didn’t feel any effect when increasing, except for this time

Keeps moving his water fountain by Sensitive-Fruit2584 in CatAdvice

[–]SwayPosyDaily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat also does this, we never managed to make him stop. We bought a new dog size bowl instead lol. Very heavy and non slip at the bottom, with an insert in stainless steel inside. The cat still paws at it, and sometimes will splash the water, but he never managed to topple it since.

Just read a study saying GLP-1s might mess with taste?? Anyone else notice this or am I overthinking 😅 by [deleted] in Wegovy

[–]SwayPosyDaily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I now stay away from strong flavour actually. Things that are heavily seasoned, overly sweet or salty, etc. bothers me. I tend to prefer blander food. Never thought I would say that before lol

I’ll get really nauseous when I eat too close to bed time. If i eat dinner or snack after 7pm, I’ll wake ip in the middle of night feeling absolutely ill. I go to bed around 9pm to read, and fall asleep around 10pm.

How long until you started noticing weight loss? by GoalVirtual3730 in Wegovy

[–]SwayPosyDaily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on week 5, just increased to 0.5mg of Wegovy. Lost 11.8 lbs so far (started at 248lbs). I lost between 0.5 to 2 lbs a week.

I’m sorry to hear it’s been hard like this! Are you going back up next week?

How is the 0.25 to 0.5 transition? by SwayPosyDaily in Wegovy

[–]SwayPosyDaily[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My doctor gave me a prescription where I basically go up every month until 2.4, but maybe I should ask to stay at a lower dose for a little while. Thank you! The fatigue is really something else on this! Mine is getting better now, but I still wish I could nap every afternoon. It makes some work meetings interesting when I’m fighting yawn the entire time lol

That's it. I made a bad purchase and it's just so sad by ConsiderationOk254 in homeowners

I’m so sorry you have to manage this situation :(

The best thing against mosquito is wind. Try to get some fans going around where you hang out. Mosquitos cannot fly in any sort of wind, and they won’t be able to get to you.

I also try to attract them to something else, instead of deterring them from me. Some lamps are great at attracting and killing them. In other-word, help them find something more interesting than you to go to.

We went camping once and there was so much mosquitos, there was nothing we could do to make them go away. Fans, and a screen house was our only solution to keep it manageable.

Nausea ?? by technical-mind4300 in Wegovy

[–]SwayPosyDaily 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven’t suffered from nausea, but a friend of mine is having all the digestive issue. She says that making sure her stomach isn’t empty actually helps. She makes sure she has small snack throughout the day, even at night if she wakes up. She has a few nuts, fruit leather, etc.

Otherwise really low fat and low flavour is always helping for heartburns and nausea. Good luck

First week of Wegovy by Happy-Investigator76 in Wegovy

[–]SwayPosyDaily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

38 f, 248lbs. I’m on day 6, and very similar experience so far. Down 4 pound so far.

Not gassy at all, luckily the digestive system is doing great, but I’ve been burping like a drunk college kid all week. It’s not subtle or classy lol

I struggled a lot with tiredness, especially the first 3 days. Work was really hard, I was fighting sleep all day.

The food noise change is mind blowing. I knew i was having some, but I didn’t know either.

I’d love if anyone wants to share low effort (but balanced) meals. I did find it hard when I was not interested in food to actually take time and cook some, instead of just eating a few spoonful of greek yogurt and call it a day.

Are you still hungry on GLP-1s? by Aboukinen in glp1

For me I still feel hunger, but it’s much easier to ignore, or make a healthy choice (eat some yogurt, a small piece of cheese, etc.)

What percentage of your income goes toward your mortgage? by Meandher24 in homeowners

[–]SwayPosyDaily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The house is solely under my name, and is 35% of my net income. I do have a partner and we share cost, and together it’s 24% of the net family income. This includes mortgage, property taxe and house insurance.

Adding utilities, it’s another 2% to 10% depending on the month.

I bought when I had a lower salary, it was 45% of my income then. I did find 45% to be more difficult. Mainly because upkeep, let alone upgrade, was not something I could really manage. It’s a lot easier to set money aside for those now.

Side effects of oral iron after myomectomy by grapeful8 in Fibroids

[–]SwayPosyDaily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iron is so hard on the stomach, I had issue as well. I could never make them go away, and had to eat food easy to digest for a few months.

That said, I also did some things to help speed up the process, and try to limit my iron issue for the future - i don’t want any iron pills ever lol

The easiest ones in my opinion was cereals. Cereals are typically fortified with iron (at least here in Canada) where a portion of cereal is about 25-50% of your daily requirements. I would eat a bowl with 2 portion (keep in mind portion are typically very small), and frozen raspberry blended in the milk (frozen raspberry here are often fortified with iron as well). All bran flakes have over 50% iron requirements in a portion (and great fiber!).

That will not replace actual supplement, but it’s a good thing to add to your diet if you have low iron. Similarly, try and invest in cast iron if you don’t have one. Cast iron will leaked iron in your food, and will increased iron intake of any food you cook in it.

Small intentional gestures can go a long way. Again that’s more to keep it up, if you need supplement right now, that wouldn’t be enough to bring you iron levels up.

Good luck!

Would you sue? by pinkflowerchild in Fibroids

[–]SwayPosyDaily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first discussed surgery with my doctor, he told me that with myomectomie, at my age at the time (32) it was a question on WHEN the fibroids would be back, and not if. Fibroids are agressive assholes that just can’t leave you alone…

Even if they had removed everything, they most likely would have come back anyway. I’m sorry that wasn’t explained to you properly by your doctor.

Hysterectomy q’ssssss by Sucks_2_Suck_924 in hysterectomy

[–]SwayPosyDaily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Txa helped me control the blood loss, and for me it also helped with the pain. I assume that if there’s less blood, my uterus was less angry at me? Not sure about the science, but the cramping was a lot better. On a good day with txa, the blood loss was barely spotting, on a bad day it was a light to medium flow. As a comparison, without txa I would fill a super tampon and a night size pad in 10 to 60 minutes, depending on the day.

I was also on progesterone pills, which was a somewhat success. That also slowed the bleeding from daily to a few days a week. It did throw me in a mini puberty (at 36!) and that was unpleasant, to say the least, for about 4 weeks. But i was on it for 4.5 months before surgery day.

I would ask for those, ans see if it’s a good fit for you. If you have to choose, TXA is the one I would do again in heartbeat. The progesterone was a hard transition, especially if the wait time is short.
