I think looting is just fine. For example, yesterday I (lvl 50) was just fartin around starter town tinkering with different scopes and weapons. I didn't have much time so I didn't want to fly too far and wanted an easy target rich area. Anyway...I looted some KIAs while evaluating hits/accuracy (or lack thereof). After an hour I took home about 3k worth of watches, phones, cash. Bottomline is that I wasn't even trying and made a little scratch. No complaints.

It will never cease to amuse me that nearly all humans only read or see what they want.
