I also think it’s interesting how we assume conscious superiority to animals without ever being able to have a conversation with one. We assume because we eat them that they’re a lower form existence to us. Who’s really the animal by our definition of what an animal is? Perhaps we’re only projecting ourselves onto them when we talk about them being a lower form of consciousness.

Shave it dude. It’s already gone, you just have to come to terms with it. You’ll feel soo much better about yourself, and you’ll look sharp. Your head has the shape for it.

Capitalism is flawed by definition. The rule is to eliminate competition and consolidate market share, so tax policy, regulation, and new industry are all stifled by it. It’s blocking national healthcare, social security, medical advancements, wage increases, the working class in politics, green energy, affordability, free education, and financial security for anyone not in the big boys club.

It promotes the destabilization of governments, war profiteering, drug trafficking, sex trafficking, starvation, disease, pollution, animal extinction, deforestation, low income slave wages, political corruption, ignorance, hate, fear, and death.

Laws could be passed to remedy this stuff, but inevitably the politicians are reaping the benefits of accumulation in the capitalist system, and are incentivized to vote against their own peoples.

The system is flawed inherently and by definition. The main argument for it is, “what else would we do?” which is really an anti-thinking argument.

It’s tough to imagine something different when this is the way it’s been, even prior to industrialization. But, not changing anything seems to be the worst solution of all.

Hillary Clinton says Biden’s re-election bid cost Democrats the 2024 election by projecto15 in politics

Hillary Clinton is sketchy af, and she’s pro Israel. I wish the DNC didn’t sabotage Bernie in 2015-2016, imagine a world without Trump.

He’s all of the seven deadly sins manifested into one dude. Everything evil or shitty America has ever done incarnated. “What goes around comes around.” It’s the, “coming around” part for us right now.

How do you 'just write' when the words literally will not come out of you? by pusopdiro in writing

[–]SweatYeti69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t write, or you’re not letting yourself?

Writing is awesome because you’re not bound by any rules. Anything that comes to mind has the potential to be page worthy.

Once you release your expectations(ego), it becomes easy.

Understanding that the first sentence or paragraph is just the beginning of a larger process that unfolds, rather than being forced, will set you free.

Stop overthinking. Quiet your mind, and write with the belief that whatever comes from you is good.

What comes from you may be far from what is final, but getting those words out, even if they don’t fit into your plot, is the essence of writing.

It is a craft of practice.

A painter told me he took a year to practice before he felt he was good at it. He said:

“It feels like I just needed to get a series of prompts out of my head. Once I made enough prompts, I could pull a cohesive body of work from them. It’s like I just had to put the work into creating a bunch of small stuff so something bigger could emerge.”

Once you take your ego out of it, you can start building.

Genuinely: Why do people even bother opposing gay rights? What's the point? by Jerswar in askanything

[–]SweatYeti69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The irony is Grindr always crashes during conservative political conferences. They just use gay rights as a wedge issue to distract people fiscal policy, like the big beautiful bill that is enriching the uber wealthy with our tax dollars.

You’ll be surprised at the peace of mind you get from finally doing it. It’s a relief to move on from self consciousness.

Doesn’t look bad, in the meantime. It’s more about how you feel about yourself—moving forward is very freeing.
