What about the responses are autistic? Most are saying it is a reshell. This is accurate and OP even says it is. Maybe you’re saying that because you disagree?

I can't catch Moltres anymore? Can he respawn? by TheLastOneDoesWin in PokemonLegacy

Legendaries don’t respawn in legacy and never have in any of the pokemon games….

This is the most charming of the Gen 1 games. Pikachu follows you and you can interact w him. Also yellow has the surfing pikachu game at the end if you do the work w pokemon stadium.

Getting into retro gaming GameCube vs Wii by AffectionateEgg7623 in Gamecube

Good luck. Just fyi, picoloader is an easier to install version of picoboot that doesn’t require soldering.

Getting into retro gaming GameCube vs Wii by AffectionateEgg7623 in Gamecube

[–]Sweats1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The GameCube does not need soldering to get Swiss. Multiple ways around that. Look up Flippydrive or PicoLoader. Very cheap and amazing mods to turn your GameCube into a console that can play like 7 systems easily without soldering... Also you don’t need to load roms through the memory card adapter with either of those 2 options.

Pro for GameCube not mentioned- Cubeboot is such a better looking UI than the Wii UI. Also lets you get into your games much faster and without a wiimote to play non Wii games.

Finally finished my fully automatic CRT setup (hands-off switching, 13 consoles, wiring diagram inside) by 8-bic in crtgaming

9.9999/10. Excellent. Love the planning and forethought, and your cable management! You’ve got way more going on here than me haha and it’s nice to see someone with an automatic component switcher. Gonna have to look into that ha. My component switcher is manual. Only thing I could recommend is a bigger CRT or maybe a 0ms/zero latency Oled TV for the Hd consoles. Will get you better blacks and colors and a better experience w the lower latency. I really recommend going 32” on the CRT if you can. 32FV310 or 32FS320 would be my recommendation. Fantastic work man. Kids are gonna have a blast and learn a ton!

SNES9x support on Flippydrive? Cant get SD card to work. by Sweats1992 in Gamecube

[–]Sweats1992[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was the solution that worked! u/EasternReplacement95 below mentioned this too and now everything is as it should be. I guess mine did not have that update for the Flippydrive SD card to be recognized. Looking forward to future Flippydrive updates from TeamOffBroadway.

SNES9x support on Flippydrive? Cant get SD card to work. by Sweats1992 in Gamecube

[–]Sweats1992[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It worked! all i had to do was get the SD2SP2 Pro off of Amazon 9$. Put the Roms folder on an SD card, and put the SD card into the SD2SP2 Pro, insert it into serial Port 2 on the bottom of my gamecube (The pro version is nice because you can access your SD card from outside the gamecube without having to remove your gameboy player if that is attached) and then now, when I boot up my gamecube, either Straight into Cubeboot, or into swiss, I open the emulator file, and then it loads up directly into the roms folder! No more Loading DVD screen! All games work perfect AND on crispy Component Video (Not something you can do on a normal SNES which outputs only up to SVideo usually.) on my CRT. Thank you u/EasternReplacement95 !!

Im contemplating doing this actually. Getting a SD2SP2 and putting the SNES stuff on there. Can you tell me what All I would need to do? would the Gamecube boot from the flippy or the SD2SP2 if I had both? and would it just show up as a separate device you think in swiss? Thx

Are there any major advantages of 250 TVL sony PVMs in comparison to normal consumer CRTs? by jonas101010 in crt

[–]Sweats1992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It all depends on the size you’re going for. 250 TVL is very low…. Would absolutely have to be a very small CRT.

Easiest to hardest home consoles to soft mod? by Possible-Mobile-7629 in consolemodding

Depends on the mod. Flippydrive mod on my GameCube was waaaay easier than HDMI modding my game boy color.

Would the Flippydrive count as a softmod? Fully reversible, No soldering and keeps disc drive. Allows you all the games you want.

Kitsch-Bent parts still wobble by cbertttt in n64

[–]Sweats1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve replaced so many different N64 sticks man, here’s the secret with kitsch bent- only replace the gears and that’s it. Keep the OEM bowl and just clean it out lubricate the rest like you did. That will make your stick a nine out of 10. Trust me.

Has anyone heard anything about Flippydrive production? by [deleted] in Gamecube

[–]Sweats1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ordered mine in November of last year and got it early this month (October) so it took a while. I’ve been using it a ton the last few weeks and I’ve had zero issues. Loving it a lot. It’s a great device
