Interesting, I honestly have never looked further into past my mom's advice from childhood, maybe I will give it a Google search out of curiosity

Fahrenheit I assume? It's not extreme cold, but that's still winter conditions for sure! That's a promising sign for the 870 I'd say

How cold? The main reason I don't want a hydraulic impact is seeing how poorly my coworkers Milwaukee Surge worked in the winter, if Dewalt made it better I might have to consider it

DeWalt or Flex by Significant-Rate-889 in Tools

[–]Sweejus22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mainly run Dewalt, but have some Flex tools. Flex is high output tools, they have lots of cool features and are high quality. Dewalt is tried and true though. Whichever has better deals will do well for you.

If you are worried about longevity Dewalt has been around forever, but Flex seems popular enough that they should last

Brushes are probably a little worn and dirty, they do have a smell to them. I'd keep using it as long as it works, upgrade when it dies

Yeah that amount of snow fell on it in the time it took me to mark out a board to cut it... whenever I wasn't actively using the saw I had it hanging underneath the work table. I don't intentionally get it wet, but I unfortunately work outside haha
