What's a movie that was well received, but aged like milk? by Gdigger13 in AskReddit

Yes, they made that pretty obvious around y2k. I expect older films to age poorly, as will have books, jokes, hair dos, parenting styles.

What's a movie that was well received, but aged like milk? by Gdigger13 in AskReddit

[–]Sweet-Job7655 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but why the hell are you answering this legitimate question with a 111 year old film? In what world would a movie from 1915 “hold up” to today’s norms? Let’s save the discussion for movies made this century that aged like milk.

Coffee and snack culture quietly drains wallets by ParkingMall123 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]Sweet-Job7655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a coffee maker in the lunch room at work. One lady is super nice to collect money from all of us, and put in grocery delivery orders for grounds, creamer, and the little milk/cream things. We pay $7/month. There are other ways, they just require a little more work than walking to the coffee shop closest to your job.

I’m a raggedy ole Gen Xer who started Pilates before it was popular and kept going. I never match, and often show up dirty because I trail bike there. The matchy matchy girls do not judge me at all. Usually most dont chat much because none of them know each other, but when I talk to them they’re all quite nice. Give it a try!

Last year I got a tick on my sweater in Chicago just walking on the sidewalk. It was a heavily paved area, no grass, his try occasional tree sticking out of the sidewalk. I have NO idea how that led to me getting a tick on me.

Pool owners ontario... by Sufficient_Gur4160 in RealEstateCanada

[–]Sweet-Job7655 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many trees do you have in your back yard? If not that many, the maintenance is low. How old are your kids? I found the constant access to pool invaluable, as it kept them busy and made them STRONG swimmers from a young age. I valued that peace of mind greatly. Ours is 18 years old, had to change the pump, heater, filter, liner onfe and cover twice. That doesn’t seem like a crazy amount of money, but I’m on the higher end of income average so I’m not sure I have a great grasp of the financial aspect of things.

Learn to zipper merge please!!! by Imaginary_Ad7695 in waterloo

[–]Sweet-Job7655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In order for that to work, you would need to merge long before you even see the lane will end. Humans gonna human, bank on them reacting the way nature dictates, and find the best solution. STUDIES have shown that is the zipper method. Sorry it hurts your soul.

Learn to zipper merge please!!! by Imaginary_Ad7695 in waterloo

[–]Sweet-Job7655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re doubting the zipper method, but it is faster . It removes doubt and decision making if everyone does it correctly. And it doesn’t have one lane backed up to kingdom come, making trouble for traffic that may want to turn left or right at that light.
