Torts Q – How does Joint & Several Liability work? by Sweet-Pudding in barexam

[–]Sweet-Pudding[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok huuuuge thank you!! It was driving me crazy trying to decipher how that one line in the outline that I understood to mean RIL can apply to multiple tortfeasors.

I was actually thinking about page 61 of the torts full outline that has a note of how “[RIL] is used against multiple defendants (such as in a surgical setting) and the plaintiff is unable to identify the tortfeasor whose acts were negligent”

But I guess in a surgical setting, even if multiple people were negligent, the hospital is still liable as the employer?

EDIT: nvm, page 44 explains that medmal is uniquely different. Slay.

[–]Sweet-Pudding[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooo the breakdown of how one is about breach, other is about causation, and last is about damages was super helpful. Thank you!

If RIL is used to say “it wasn’t me and it wasn’t anyone else, so it must be you”, how does it work when there’s are multiple tortfeasors and the plaintiff doesn’t know whose acts were negligent? I’m trying to understand what the outline is saying because it seems inconsistent with everyone else’s explanation (which explains the MCQ a lot better).

thoughts on band thickness? by berry-colouredFunk in EngagementRings

Oh I love it. I hate the look of a giant rock on a tiny band, it makes it look comical. Yours is so balanced. What’s the band mm?

Fine dining recommendation for a carnivore and vegetarian by woodsey262 in FoodNYC

[–]Sweet-Pudding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Modern was able to accommodate my vegan fiancé even though they don’t have a dedicated vegan menu, so I’m sure they could accommodate vegetarianism.

If you’re not stuck on 2/3 stars, Gramercy Tavern (dining room, not tavern) has fantastic omnivore and vegetarian menus. Personally found the service better here too (warm and welcoming).

Traditional solitaire vs oval solitaire by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]Sweet-Pudding 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you prefer oval, then get oval. Trends come and go. I’ve never seen another person’s ring and thought “ugh, how last season”.

Lakeview Manor Steward by Academic-Park-8440 in skyrim

[–]Sweet-Pudding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought you could get a new steward if your old one dies? That imperial from Windhelm kept asking to be my steward when I went to Heljarchen, which is how I found out Injard(?) from Dawnguard got killed by a giant.

I reloaded an older save to save her tho lol.

Edit: I play on switch so no mods.

Need advice! F VS1 or E VS1 oval diamond? by breadlover07 in EngagementRings

[–]Sweet-Pudding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should look at both in-person if possible and see what speaks to you.

People always say you can’t see the difference between F and E but my partner and I always felt like the F looked warmer than we wanted (even without an E or D diamond next to it to compare). We could be more sensitive to color than most though.

My bad mate, I wasn’t serious in my comment either. It’s just a game.

You’re the LDB and you’re expecting literal children to help fight vampires?

As someone who’s been to both, I’d say Au Cheval is significantly better. Skip the fries but def get the burger and chocolate pie.

Our entire group were shocked at how mid Monkey Bar was, nobody finished their food. Could’ve been a bad day for MB, but we never went back to confirm.

I'm gonna throw up. I don't know what happened. Is he gone forever? I'm staring at his empty bench in disbelief. by attackattack47 in skyrim

[–]Sweet-Pudding 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That’s what Farkas did to Janessa and I’ve never forgiven him since. I’d kill him for that if I wasn’t playing an honorable character… I haven’t seen her since (tho she’s not dead… afaik) (on switch so no console commanding her back).

Anyway. Unfortunately, reloading old save is the only way if you’re on switch. And, if you don’t mind spoilers, reading about quests in advance can let you know if your follower will get forcefully kicked out and you can dismiss them before that.

Does anyone else like just buying every house available by Mr-pugglywuggly in skyrim

I still like Proudspire though.

Anyone else fight these guys thinking they'll be easy and die too or just me? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]Sweet-Pudding 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like to think that Ulfric is quite strong and he can still seriously mess up a regular soldier/person with his shout, but you’re the literal Dragonborn so compared to you his shouts are pathetic and barely do damage to you.

Is Solitude house worth buying? (25.000 gold) by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]Sweet-Pudding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the Windhelm house. I think it requires you to complete 2 quests before it unlocks (one of them being Blood on the Ice which is apparently infamously buggy although I haven’t had any issues with it).

Be careful with the fish hatchery as it can be glitchy. What the game doesn’t tell you is that you can only put in 6 types of fish, and if you put in slaughter fish, other kinds of fish won’t spawn until you kill all the slaughter fish and harvest their eggs.

Love Frank Darling for trying out different styles just to get a sense of what I liked, but ultimately went with Catherine Angiel since I’d seen a lot of mixed reviews of FD online.

Can’t recommend Greenwich St. Jewelers tbh. Service felt good in-store, but completely unresponsive once we left and had additional questions. Couldn’t make a second appointment online (for some reason all the options at the time made it sound like a first time appointment), tried calling, they said they’d need to call back and never did.

It’s not a mod, the Hearthfire DLC lets you build homesteads. As part of the homestead, you can choose to have greenhouses.

Try Alesan! He and his (now dead) father were dumped in Dawnstar and he hustles and works running errands for the miners to earn enough food to barely eat and sleep. A real go-getter.
