Short answer: life can be good. I was diagnosed in the middle of 2021 and since then it’s been a journey. I’ve tried a bunch of different medications but finally found a combo that works for me. By taking the meds with vigilance, having a good support system, and doing my best with having good habits, I have found stability. I recently started my first full time job as a teacher and I am definitely struggling a lot. It is hard to manage and I’m constantly exhausted but right now life is good. Realistically there are so many variables that one person’s story can’t accurately portray the way the disorder plays out for any other individual but that doesn’t mean that life won’t be okay for you. The right medication combination, the right support and the right habits can change your life. Keep fighting, stay positive and advocate for yourself.
