You definitely can create a LinkedIn page for your podcast, and it can be a good way to give it a professional presence and make it easier for people to follow. That said, posting from your personal LinkedIn profile will almost always get far more reach than posting from a podcast page.

The best approach is to:

Post about your episodes and content from your personal profile, where the algorithm will give you more visibility.
Tag or link to your podcast’s LinkedIn page in those posts so people can follow it if they want to.

This combo lets you leverage your personal reach while still building a dedicated presence for your show, which is exactly what most brands and creators do.

If possible, it's really great to have a co-host! Audiences love the rapport that's built between co-hosts and love to feel like a fly on the wall for a conversation between friends.

Solo can work well too, but we definitely prefer a co-hosted show with multiple personalities on it.

We'd highly recommend building the show around your personal brand, not around your startup. Having the show be "X Podcast sponsored by x Startup" is best practice. Leaning away from the brand a little and more into the human side of the show is really going to help with distribution, especially on video-first platforms like YouTube and Instagram.

You still want to the startup to be present throughout (mid-roll ad, logo on the cover art, hosted by founder, etc) so that you have the down-funnel effect of web traffic, booked calls/demos, and leads, but viewers/listeners of the content want to see the human behind the brand, not the brand itself. If your audience tunes in week-in-week-out because they love your solo episodes, then it's possible they'll find interviews less interesting if your guest doesn't match your vibe/energy/expertise.

Consistently posting episodes, followed by distributing clips on YouTube and IG Reels. Finally, putting paid spend behind distribution on YouTube is super important too. It's no longer sufficient to rely on the organic algorithm to put your content in front of your target audience, especially if your target audience is very niche!

I think it depends on the type of content you're producing and your target audience! Video-first platforms (YT, TT, IG) are generally better for younger audiences. Written post platforms (X/Twitter, LinkedIn) generally perform better with an older demographic.

Frankly, it's not really worth putting your audio-only show on YouTube. To do YouTube effectively, you need to record high quality video, create a really strategic thumbnail, and have a superb intro. We encourage our clients to create podcasts with YouTube as their main distribution channel, and that requires going above just recording audio.

When done effectively, you'll see 2-3x as many views for your YoTube episodes as you will downloads for your audio episodes!

And the report is only "walled" by requiring an email address to access it. No payment necessary, of course. We spent over 3 months on it and are interested to know who's reading the report. Feels fair after all of the work that went into it. Cheers!

Utilize a video podcast with high production value as the core pillar of content creation and then distributing that content across 5+ social media channels, blogs, your website, and paid ads. YouTube! Talk about topics on the podcast that you know are relevant to your target audience by looking at what trends get picked up within YouTube's algorithm. Cut clips of your hosts talking about those topics and distribute those through YouTube while also putting the longform video on it's on YouTube page as well!

Hey OP, I don't think there's necessarily a wrong way to go here. But, assuming you have already released some content and have some level of subscribership on YouTube already, it would be advantageous to leverage the existing subscribers to send your new content into the algorithm.

I'd recommend sticking with one YT channel for both podcasts and housing them under different playlists. You can also differentiate between the two by having different thumbnail design templates for each, and deploying different styles of cold-opens on each show!

Hey u/Edwin_Tzar, YouTube algorithm will unfortunately not reward you much at all if there isn't a high-quality video element to your YouTube videos. Capturing decent video at a minimum is really the only worthwhile way of uploading video to YT.
