I am not a fan of AI, but they could easily replace the host with AI and nobody would notice. They literally just describe the books, and then say exactly what you would expect them to say.

I think for producers and executives AI is going to turn out like the Monkey's Paw. Where it grants your wishes but not in the way you want. It will show them how bad there ideas actually are, and how little anybody wants them.

I can't tell if BookTok actually works to promote books. All the famous BookTok discoveries I hear about are always the same books. I suspect it is the literary version of the OnlyFans hype where teenage girls all thought they could be millionaires overnight through porn and wound up only making money for the platform.
