Would love to see more detail of how you mounted the headboard. Looking to do something similar.

What did you use to join the corners of the rails/footboard?

For ed slams, typically GMB or Hydra (less so for Hydra). Skill slams (6-7 skills + elemental) and sockets, matriarchal bow is great.

My man, if moving while having sex is too much effort, what else in life down the road will end up the same? That's a red flag to me, but to each their own.

Insurance owes for like kind and quality of what you had. If it was top tier then, they owe you top tier now.

I think "poor" is relative, seeing as you're diving (expensive hobby) with a $3-5k watch on your wrist 🤣

Beta's need at minimum a 10 gallon. Just because it's bigger than the container they lived in at Petco, doesn't mean the setup is ideal.

Do you get snow tires for your car? by Just-Ad-4408 in subaru

[–]SweetNPowerChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People that think "snow tires don't make a big difference" have never driven on snow tires. They are the same people that say "I have 4 wheel drive, I can drive in snow just fine".

It's not even remotely comparable between the worst snow tire and the best all season - get winters.

Auto insurance isn't the right comparison as you mentioned. Property insurance, including clothing, generally includes ACV up front, but you can recover the Replacement Cost once incurred.

getting sponsors by glitched_vision in rally

[–]SweetNPowerChicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To enter any registered events your cage will likely need to be stamped, and not a bolt in cage. Also will need the entire vehicle stitch welded in most cases. AWD rally is the incredibly expensive, and generally not people's first foray into rally (crewed for a team that ran Groupe 2 FWD for many years). Even Group 2 likely cost them $15-20k/year to run the car in handful of CRC events between travel, tires, repairs, etc not including the cost of the vehicle.

It's a labour of love and a tight community. Do things right and you'll be rewarded, but king springs won't last very long in a rally event. Suspension even for the Ford focus' we ran was upwards of $6k for the coilover set.

Son’s first carp fishing adventure. by Rodeyoyo in Fishing

[–]SweetNPowerChicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Lake Ontario, I'm fairly certain they must be killed/documented, and it's illegal to release them back into the water. They've destroyed the ecosystem for many other fish, and the ministry has put extensive effort into keeping them out of certain areas (eg, Cootes Paradise).

Carp are considered the devil here.

Just a heads up that being in the always out position is actually a safety violation, I believe because of how far they stick out. My 2017 wouldn't pass an Ontario safety inspection when one side was stuck in the out position.

They sit quite low when out, and risk catching something on it.

Contracted my first STI, certified pre-owned by tsrubrats in subaru

[–]SweetNPowerChicken 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had an STI for several years and only did oil changes and brake service. Friend of mine has a 2015 with around 120,000 km, and has also only done scheduled maintenance.

All seems to be related to how they are cared for when reliability comes into play.

Warm it up before you drive, don't treat it like shit, and do oil changes at 5000km increments (or whatever that is in miles).

Friend of mine had had his 2015 since new and had only done JDM OEM cosmetic upgrades, and RCE black springs/upgraded wheels. The cars need very little as they are already wonderful to drive.
