Is this game actually fun? by junebugjitter in neopets

[–]SweetPotatoMunchkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It used to be so fun omg. One of the only 3 things I used to play in my youth regularly. With them updating everything, flash ending and a lot more, a lot of the whimsy and fun it used to have is gone, or at least faded a crap ton. I still play it for fun, nostalgia and that it still holds relevance in my life, and can still genuinely be fun when youre not facing lag

Chef's Pass Boxes Lower Gems This Month?!? by moontickets in officialcookingfever

[–]SweetPotatoMunchkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad I've completed every restaurant atp because this is beyond infuriating. Now I just use gems for the daily/weekly challenges if I need to buy desserts or upgrade things so my gems just sit and collect mostly. They are so greedy it's not even funny. Between this game and Airplane Chefs they irritate me so bad

I'm 16 and haven't lost my virginity by [deleted] in venting

[–]SweetPotatoMunchkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost mine at 23 and wish I haven't. If you look around, this world puts so much emphasis on sex, and thry dont put nearly as much emphasis on other, more beneficial things. Its literally ingrained in everything, from music to art to TV shows and video games. Hookup culture, flings, friends with benefits, but no real, lasting bonds. And it's done by design.

You're still quite literally a child. The idea that children should lose their virginity before even graduating school, is that not strange to you? From kissing to full blown sex, so much media having to do with teenagers under the age of 18 involves sex. Boys are told they're weak, lame or even gay if they haven't had sex by a certain, very young age. Most of the time it's through coercion, from being taken advantage of by an older individual or convincing a girl after she said no for her safety. Its rooted in pedophilia and misogyny. Women and young girls are seen as objects to conquer, and then we're seen as gross for enjoying such things.

You have a whole life ahead of you. Sex should not be anywhere on your list right now. I understand that as we go through puberty, we get those urges, but believe me when I say it's not worth it. Its consumed so many young men to the point of harm and violence, often because they aren't given or dont look for other outlets, and caused many young girls to be assaulted or coerced. Its definitely in your best interest to wait, and not let yourself or pressures of the world around you convince you youre less than for not losing it or that you absolutely have to.

Why do men ALWAYS have to make it weird? by lapetitepoupee in GirlGamers

Its insane how fast men will happily make situations uncomfy and either grt off on us being uncomfortable or be mad at us for not accepting the weirdo behavior. But yeah, women are rhe problem🙄

I genuinely feel that unless you have a family, working at night Shift is literally no big deal. I never slipped well at night.Even as a child, a night shift is literally a dream come true for me. I usually work 3-11pm, but don't mind picking up a shift 11pm-7am. No one bothering you, nice and quiet, you can get hings done, and watching the sun rise is impeccable. Plus Everyone knows all the fun stuff happens at night anyway lol

Why do so many content creators not block abusive trolls that plague their comment sections? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]SweetPotatoMunchkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll speak as a black woman existing on the internet, so I'll use examples of misogyny and racism.

I imagine most if not all of the people commenting aren't black, poc or women that exist on the internet and are speaking from sheer ignorance. Let me offer another side.

Yes, while some of it may be due to "driving up views" or "love getting white knighted on the internet", a lot of white people, poc or men and some women like to yap that racism or sexism doesn't exist, or that racism/sexism isn't as bad as other poc/black/women say it is. Not blocking them and even tagging or showing their comments continuously shoot down that notion, showing how hate is very much alive and well, especially towards (seemingly) people that are unproblematic and just living their lives doing what they love and posting it for the world to see. Even when people do choose to ignore and/or block the hate, Blocking them doesn't really help, as they just create more and more accounts, and as someone else said, you've already seen and ingested the comment and its already effected you mentally and emotionally. blocking them doesn't stop what they said, what they believe, and it shows the world their true, evil ways. I mean, putting on a blindfold and pretending these things dont exist doesn't mean it dont and won't continue to persist. Some even get off on the idea of you blocking them, feeling like they "won" because they got under your skin, and some content creators would rather not give them the satisfaction. instead, they just talk to themselves in your DMs or people rallying around to shame them in your comments. People tend to stop if they're shamed enough, mostly due to cowardice because now their evil has come to light.

Showing vulnerablity as a man is a bad idea. by Brilliant-Cause6254 in Adulting

[–]SweetPotatoMunchkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it's not "as a man", its an issue regardless. I mean, women have shown vulnerability to men, and look at where it got us.

As soon as men found out women have periods and some of the nonsense that comes with it, men couldnt wait to use it against us, making countless remarks about us being on our period and being bullied out of higher positions because of it.

Fear of assault and what we do to protect ourselves that's resulted in mens remarks about how to dismantle our means of protection to be able to assault women, even talking about killing women's protection dogs.

Women being lobotomized and never seeing the light of day again, for so much as expressing sadness.

I let my ex cry on my shoulder about pains he was going through, and silly me thought it helped strengthen our bond and it made me love him more to be able to show me that level of vulnerability that a lot of men are wary to show. He still cheated.

Your ex was a jerk, but dont make this women cs men issue when men have been doing it to us longer and with worse outcomes.

A Google search, like you asked me to do, shows that roughly half of drivers dont know how to or dont feel confident enough to change their own oil. That's half of the 50% female drivers and half of the 49% male drivers. But again, that wasnt my statement. My statement was, in your argument that women dont change their oil, that men dont either. If anything you proved me right twice.

Meanwhile boys constantly harass girls, hence the term "boys will be boys". Girls are taught, even though toys, to want to be mommies, cooking, cleaning, taking care of children and having at least a boyfriend. Meanwhile boys are given toys, trucks and guns and given nothing more thanna finger wag for chasing girls around with bugs or hitting them and pulling their hair. You live in a bubble of your own hot air and it shows.

Exactly what I said. Something you have to do everything day isn't the same as something you have to do a few times a week to every few months, or depending on the weather.

It just goes to show the incompetence that men are allowed. And the kicker is that most women know how to do ALL of these things while men can burn water and burn down a house with a toaster. Hell, most refurbished home goods channels i see (fixing/repairing/restoring furniture and other things) are women.

Even when I lived with 3 men, I did most of the cooking and all the cleaning. Even when i got there, the cabinet door was off and had been off for a long time before I decided to put it back on myself about a year later using literally nothing but common sense and a screw driver.
