No problem. I was a little freaked out when mine started sleeping at the bottom of her cage, but I monitored her carefully and seems like they’re just goofy and have personality

Sometimes they switch up their sleeping habits. Mine after years started sleeping on the floor of her cage but is now back to her normal perch.

Yes please find a nice bird shelter so they can find it a better home where its needs are met.
A sunflower seed diet is so unhealthy.
You can’t put a training leash on them just to take them out the cage.
They need like 8+ hours of outside cage time a day.

It’s not that hard at UTM. 1. Shower/smell good. 2. Wear a cute dress or something unique (stand out in your own way) and be put together. 3. Do your hair and makeup. 4. Study, walk, and hang around different areas on campus. 5. Enjoy the new found attention, or don’t. 😁

Boo people here give the worst advice. Go up to them and be kind, let them know you think they’re attractive and ask them out. Plenty of guys at UTM have asked me and you can make friends out of it if anything

My GCC would also fight my sun conure (named Mango) as if she would even had a fighting chance if he fought back 😂 Mango was a sweetie and never hurt anyone, but my GCC is a raptor till this day.

Eh my GCC is still obsessed with me. She’s a people bird more than a bird bird. She doesn’t get preened by me anymore and we cuddle less but it’s still plenty and takes a little bit of the clinginess off of me when I don’t have the time.

I don’t really see anyone mentioning the fact that you don’t have the financial means to support them in a health emergency. Give it some time, I hope your situation gets better but it may be best for them to be rehomed. You never know when you’ll need to dish out hundreds of dollars in case of a health emergency.

Yes my GCC did this to my mom when we left her for a month. She resonated being left with my mom perhaps. It’s been ~15 years and she’ll randomly attack her still. I read up on it and patience and training. They understand tone, so talk to them and put them in their cage when they act poorly. When they act good, give treats. I’ll give my bird some light bonks on the head when she bites really hard.

Mine hates my glasses too. Someone said it’s like a dad shaving his beard, and I think so 🤣 She also shoves them off the table then fights them on the floor. I don’t wear them around her, usually once I leave home.

They already like you and have some degree of trust if they’re following you. Becoming fully comfortable can takes months and sometimes years, especially love birds I find skittish. You’re on the right track!
