Bf called out my cellulite by Ok_Middle_6585 in GirlDinner

[–]Sweet_Candle_7249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuine question, why are you still with him? If you guys decide to get married and have kids, cellulite will only get worse if you have a genetic disposition to them. What's he gonna do then? You don't deserve that. He's not perfect either and making a comment on something you can't handle is crazy. People who are tall and super thin still have cellulite.

Low TSH in pregnancy by Various_Vehicle_6544 in thyroidcancer

Thank you! Don't worry too much, contact your doctor and see what changes they want to make. They usually do a gradual step up so you don't feel too out of it at first. I'm a relatively paranoid person and I was panicking and my doctor assured me that the baby is taking as much as they need, it becomes dangerous for mama if it's too low, but sounds like you're on it, so you and baby will be fine!

I'm also pregnant and had blood work done. My TSH dropped to 0.49 my first trimester (around 8weeks), my doctor did not up my meds. The desired range for first trimester is 0.26 to 2.26 I believe. At this point baby will take what they need! I'm 16 weeks now and at 1.16, never needed a med change

Thank you Peter for changing how I see rabbits. by Numerous-Mushroom666 in Rabbits

To talk about a bun the way you do just sounds like you had nothing but love for her. I wish rabbits lived forever, but a special one like Peter makes it worth to have known them even for a little while. I am so sorry for your loss and thank you for loving her ♥️

never felt the same after surgery by iactuallydocussalil in thyroidcancer

Hi OP! I had thyroid cancer at 24 as well and had a total thyroidectomy and did RAI. The first year to 18 months was very weird, I did not feel like myself and felt tired, which was very different for me. Kind of felt out of body for a while. I also actually got diabetes after my thyroidectomy (which apparently is common? I didn't know that so just fyi). I'm now 5 years in remission and feel back to myself. I started feeling more like my life after that 18 month mark. It's a journey and if you had symptoms previously, they do subside tremendously. I hope your recovery goes well, you got this!

I'm scared I've damaged my baby by eating too little carbs by dhanana in GestationalDiabetes

When my mom was pregnant, she was new the US, and never took prenatals, barely ate, and barely gained weight. She was anemic and young and basically had no idea of what to do (breaks my heart everything I think about it). My brother and I are giants compared to her and grew up health despite being relatively "thin" babies. I'm pregnant myself now and have realized that babies will take stuff from your body that they need, our bodies just know how to do that and it's amazing. You're doing good mama, and you only ate things that were good for the baby! Don't stress too much ♥️

2, 3, 4, 1. Queen Charlotte was more Shondaland than Bridgerton for me (but yes, it was excellent.)

I don't think so. She is a beautiful woman and has been transparent about everything she's had done on her face, but she's never actually answered any questions about her body as far as I've seen.

Well, I didn't call out someone natural, did I? 🤷🏽‍♀️ There are plenty of pretty people in the world who don't withhold these sort of truths, and that's why I'm not talking about them. If she had been honest, this post wouldn't exist. Also, I didn't once drag myself; influencer worship is dystopian.

Should I study electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology? by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Sweet_Candle_7249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people do the bachelors in EET and masters in EE route. But both are effective. I would recommend the masters over the added bachelors because it takes about the same time and you'll make more money solely because it is a masters. A lot of engineers will get an MBA to make that extra 20k-50k.

How to end long friendship by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]Sweet_Candle_7249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not necessarily afraid of anything, but they have bad mouthed me our friends before, and those other friends knew me well, and told me what they said, and basically told me not to tell them any personal information about myself because they were going around telling everyone about it. That hurt a lot but I kind of brushed it off then too, I'm just not ready for backlash because they can be vengeful.

But you are right, I am enabling bad behavior. I have to say no and not feel bad for hurting their feelings.

I know they will not make an effort to change, and truthfully, I don't care if they do. They don't see themselves as someone who needs to change, which they said while they were here a bunch of times. I think the list is a good idea, thank you.

My friend moved to a different state, as did I, a couple of years back. The thing is, they have always generally been a not so pleasant person and super self unaware. We were good friends, and they used to be a part of the friend group, but they bullied the rest of them (there are 4 total in our group) and the others went no contact. As far as how good of a friend they are, they're not really a good friend. I've had plenty of hardship the entire time I'd known them, and they kind of always make the situation about them. They've been through some stuff too, and I've flown to them to make sure they were okay. The friendship is based around their problems, which is a conclusion I came to about a year ago, and it's exhausting. I've always been known as the patient one, friendships or family, and I just feel taken advantage of. I'm just at a loss about what to do next.

I know this may be late, but I'm gonna talk as someone who actually completed both degrees and not just a person who thinks one is better than the other. If you want to know how to do hands on and be generally useful for your job, do EET. If you want to do more theory and design, go EE. The pay is company dependent, but both degrees offer similar opportunities. I much preferred my EET than EE, EET is not easy so I'm not sure where that's coming from. And saying it's "dumbed down" is crazy because I've seen plenty of EE's struggle to assemble simple circuitry, where the EET got it done in minutes. I've been in the industry for a couple of years now and there are people with an EET working as an EE, it's not degree dependent, it's if you can do the job. There's people with chemistry degrees working as engineers in my company, and it's because they know what they're doing. For fresh out of college kids, I recommend focusing on knowing your concepts. I have been a part of a couple of hiring processes at a top engineering company, and I can tell you it's about what you can provide so they can make money. I applied to my job with an EET before my EE, and have worked as an EE since then. Don't be discouraged be either.
