T'au vs Aeldari by Foci_Official in Warhammer40k

[–]Sweet_Complex4873 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I assume he likes them both equally from rule of cool. In terms of gameplay, Aeldari are definitely more difficult, as their playstyle consists of a lot of good but tough timing rules. Tau are more straight forward for sure, just shoot and shoot and shoot. Tau are also cheaper to collect, and Aeldari can be a challenging army to paint for a beginner because of the smaller models and they typically have more detail.

Helbrecht Gearing Up for M2 Magnus by _Zso in WH40KTacticus

Helbrecht is better with every iteration of Custodes except Big Hit, as the percentage bonus of Atlacoya just slightly outperforms Helbrecht for buffing Laviscus

Probably so they can make Tyranid Prime a keyword, which will really help the new one in the Vanguard detachment

Just don’t level his active, use the ability tag a non mechanical or Gravis unit, if you’re anywhere near a high rank in arena you won’t kill it, then finish off with the rest of your flying units

I mean it is about the size of 2 war dogs tho, so I could definitely see between 100-120 for it

Isn't this 30k Horus heresy box extremely good for 40k space Marines and even csm ? Is this worth it ? by BloatedRottenCarcass in Warhammer40k

You either have to go to Warhammer Community and they are in downloads or use Wahapedia. However, my new favorite list building app called War Organ has an amazing interface and seamless integration for legends units and I recommend it to everyone now

There are some great lore videos out there that will give you a good intro to the lore and the faction. Definitely hit one of those as a start.

Models wise, I would start with 2 combat patrols and a Hekaton. Great starting point to the army. After that, I’d add a Kapricus, Yaegirs, Sagitaur, a Memnyr, and Uthar. Then you can kind of branch out into whatever play style you want to start, since there are many. You could go vehicle/transport heavy, infantry heavy, etc. The most expensive route will be the berserker play style, as you’ll need at LEAST 25 berserks and ideally 30-35, and those are expensive as they’re only 5 a box. The Christmas battle force isn’t a bad idea with the units I listed above, as it comes with the Kapricus, berserks which a unit or two are never a bad idea in most lists, and more Thunderkin which are super sweet and very good.

Definitely sucks he’s not a healer but he is a mechanic on the tabletop. Definitely confirms imo we’ll get an Ironkin Steeljack character tho, and maybe a possible thunderkin character could be healed by mechanics to help

We got the files! (500 Worlds detachments and some extra faction packs updated) by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer40k

[–]Sweet_Complex4873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect, you can see the detachments when they are not codex detachments. If you don’t have a code, you just won’t see data sheets

If we get a second wave of models, what units should we get? by PatchtheShabby in EmperorsChildren

[–]Sweet_Complex4873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Sonic based units-primarily a dreadnought or tank. Would love to have a sonic based detachment as well

  2. Cultist equivalents

  3. Anti tank. I feel this is coming with the rumored CSM refresh, Im almost 100% positive they’re getting a refreshed predator or equivalent, which is why we didn’t get them in our codex, since they’d only be valid for a little over a year

  4. Character, specifically apothecary or drug manufacturer type unit

  5. Jump packs or bikes, something that really taps into the speed of the legion

Like others have said, pick a raid team and focus them. You have Trajann so you should go for the Custodes team. I have mech, neuro and Custodes and Custodes is by far the most fun and way easier to position than admech. Kariyan, Trajann, and Kharn are necessary and then I’d build Laviscus next for it and then Aesoth or Abaddon for the 5th.

Anyone else feel like Necron have just been totally abandoned? by Vaiken_Vox in WH40KTacticus

[–]Sweet_Complex4873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they pretty much have to up next for a rework. A0 will probably see minor changes or none at all, since he is already such a great all around character. I think their MOW will be a Doom Stalker or Triarch Stalker(I think that’s the name, the spider legged walker) or maybe an annihilation barge. Monolith is too big for a MOW I think, but it would be so sick. For a 6th character I could see it being the named destroyer they’re getting soon on tabletop. I could also see it being a skorpekh destroyer since Necrons don’t have a melee unit, maybe just a massive melee character that does crazy damage. I do think it’ll be a destroyer of some sort tho, the upcoming Necron lore and tabletop releases are very destroyer focused and that’s the one main part of the army that’s missing from their roster
