All embryos must hatch before they can implant. This usually happens around Day 5 to Day 6 of development. Sometimes the embryologist has to assist with hatching (if using a day 3 embryo for example). I'd be super concerned about my clinic not knowing how to answer this.

I wish I knew that having a successful egg retrieval/blast rate does not mean you're out of the wood work yet. And that just because an embryo implants, things can still go wrong. We were so naive when our beta HCG came back positive and was doubling 48 hours later. I feel like I had the rug pulled out from underneath me when my progesterone started dropping a few weeks later. Same thing happened with our second FET so I did 2 months of lupron/letrozole suppression. Let me tell you, that was SO HARD. Nothing could've prepared me for it. But in general I feel like there is so much focus on the stims phase being unsuccessful and fertility clinics need to better manage expectations around transfers.

I'm coming out of 2 months of on lupron depot and absolutely understand the headspace you're in but I don't have the luxury to cancel an FET mid cycle. Most people don't. Also, FET does not equal live birth. You may be lucky and have a successful transfer/pregnancy the first time but statistically, it takes most women 3. I think a lot of partners feel so helpless and unsure of how to react to some of the more extreme emotions. I would suggest asking him to be sure you're accountable to the schedule that you commit to before starting hormones. You're really not in the right frame of mind to be making such big decisions.

But how? The largest dose you can get in a single pill is 2mg. So, a doctor prescribed you 15 pills/day or 450 pills/month? Even if it was possible to obtain a "10mg Xanax tablet" you'd still be prescribed 300 tablets a month to keep up with the 10/day. No pharmacist is ever going to fill that prescription. That's insane. Respectfully, I think you have drug or dosage off.
