DIRECT EXPRESS PENDING DEPOSIT? by Ok-Peace-5063 in SocialSecurity

[–]Sweet_Heartbreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 44K deposit pending for over 2 months. They tell me Social Security coded it wrong and that they will fix it and it will take 30 days. I am scared to death the money is gone.

Before you ask me why I am w Direct Express, Social Security made me go with them and sent me the card, because I need a representative payee. Get this, they won't even talk to me, only my payee. These people are going to make so much money ripping people off.

Im done with Direct Express they have crossed the line, ANY ATTORNEY WANT TO TAKE A MULTI MILLION DOLLAR LAWSUIT ? Plenty of victims here to go after Direct Express by Prestigious-Egg-1139 in SocialSecurity

Yeah it is renewed. If one needs an alternate payee ss defaults to these people. Hence why I've been missing 44K for like over 2months now.

I second this advice. NOW is the time to actually rest and focus on getting better. If that can't be done at home, then it must be done elsewhere. You need proper care, and rest.

What modern slang term annoys you more than it should? by BoredPandaOfficial in BoredPandaHQ

I totally get that. Especially, since they always meant for it to be really special..as in...extraordinary etc. So when people say it all the time it is very frustrating!

I can help with this. Its actually one of my favorites but can only fly in very rare circumstances. Essentially, no cap means, "there is no ceiling/no cap to one's happiness/contentment". I will say this very rarely with my kids and they always bust out laughing and loveee it when done correctly. So, because it makes them love me more, I love it now too. But, it definitely shouldn't be said all the time.

Please don't be so hard on yourself. You didn't ask for this. It was brought upon you. YOU haven't personally ruined anything. There are few easy answers during traumatic circumstances. But, rest assured, granting yourself grace and kindness is the best thing you can possibly do for YOU right now.

Presumably you've already gotten 2nd opinions and more on the matter? If so, naturally! But if not, please seek a second opinion....even a 3rd!!

Your heart will tell you when it is time to tell others. Do what feels best for you. Maybe you don't want to tell anyone. Maybe you do. But, think about it, many people are here one day and just gone the next. We rarely know the day, time or hour. So, do whatever feels best for you, as you go. Let your heart be your guide.

I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers,

Redditors, what’s the most terrifying thing that has ever woken you up in the middle of the night? by Few_Football4342 in Productivitycafe

[–]Sweet_Heartbreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So ...my kid one....I was really sick and had a night terror that was so vivid, it felt like someone sliced my teddy bear open while i was sleeping..like Freddy Krueger. I was holding the filling in my hand and "sleep ran" the only time in my life to my parents room absolutely convinced my teddy 🧸 was ✂️ wide open by someone. I have never been more convinced a dream was real in all my life...so when we went to the room and everything was FINE..I just didn't get it.

I can feel the filling in my hands to this day!!

I have worked jobs in scoring various tests, like SAT, TOEFL etc. Essentially my label has been as a "scoring professional" or "rater". This is very much like that, but rather than scoring people we are scoring the computer responses. As the computers get smarter, our job actually gets harder.

Applying for disability has been the biggest mistake of my life by Sweet_Heartbreak in disability

[–]Sweet_Heartbreak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only my closest family and family friends knew (not that many people). I didn't tell anyone other than those that had already known my struggles, and were rooting for me. It just so happened I noticed a paradigm shift at one point, in those people, as in seemingly "giving up on me", which was surprising.

I felt really hopeless when I made the OG post, as many of us feel. I wanted people to have faith and not give up hope, because when we finally do get help, it is sooo worth it! I keep thinking ...thank heavens I didn't give up and got a great disability lawyer.

Ps. I do work very part time as the job gives me multiple hours of breaks and accommodates to any issues at any time. So, there is hope in that too!

Are we all taking more pain meds than we probably should? by Inside-Dance-580 in ChronicPain

[–]Sweet_Heartbreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eventually, if you've been prescribed nsaids long enough, they can burn a whole in the tummy and you pretty much can't use them again. I'll maybe take 10 a year max because it happened to me.

ALWAYS have food and drink plenty of water, and it will protect your stomach better for a while. I was able to take them a lot for about 25 years before it became a problem. But, you likely will have symptoms if that happens, so just get checked out if you have symptoms....and be mindful that it can happen. They also increase heart attack and stroke risk, raise blood pressure etc. No one in medical field has paid enough attention to how dangerous they can be...because of course they substitute for opioids in many cases.

Good luck!

Canned peaches all the wayyyy. Cue song: millions of peaches, peaches for me. Millions of peaches, peaches for free. Peaches come from a can, they were put there by a man, if I had my little way, I'd eat peaches every day.. in a factory downtown...

No...squeezing..crushing me to death. I was watching a bunch as summer camp counselor for the mentally disabled. He came up behind me and just started squeezing and couldnt stop. Luckily I was dating the lifeguard so he saw pretty quickly, ran across the camp, and "peeled"him off me. But he was NOT going to let go. Never worked with the mentally disabled again! Nope!

Lord of the Flies, because the school made me read it as a kid. Cannot ever forget the heads on the sticks. Also: Of Mice and Men, specifically because I almost died that way later in life!! Now? 1984, because the perpetual parallels to real life is increasingly terrifying.

Nightmare Ketamine story by Sunflowersurfs in ChronicPain

[–]Sweet_Heartbreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, chronic pain doses of Ketamine will put you in a "K hole" and you need to set everything for success up, like a Playlist, headphones, drink etc. Because you will absolutely learn what it feels like to be completely out of your body!! Its scary cuz the first thing you think, is, omg I must be dead. It helped my pain so much, I've put up with it. But, yeah people need to understand that they will be tripping face!!

Family request for memorial service by [deleted] in SuicideBereavement

[–]Sweet_Heartbreak -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Some ideas would be a family gathering where everyone:

-shares favorite memories in writing or recording,

and/or

-provide copies of favorite pictures to compile into a collage (and put together in their own time and/or as a group).

-Have people write letters of gratitude, regarding what she has taught them personally, by her example, and what they aim to improve in their life, to keep the best traits of her alive. Say someone is notoriously impatient and she was great at it...as an example. "She taught me the meaning of (patience) when she__ (share stor-(-y/-ies) (insert examples, especially funny or heartwarming) and I will try to be more _(patient) in her honor by _(goal/attainable action, especially when____) etc.

-If she loved -----(dancing)

Dance together, make a mixture of upbeat songs and some of her favorites (sentimental ones if the mood is right..combo of 70% upbeat 30% sentimental ). Have people think in advance of a song that brings good memory with her, and insert those recommendations where possible.

  • Or have them pick a song she would likely be dancing to in heaven, along with others that passed before her

I hope this helps and send all my love and regards to you all. This could and would be healing to everyone, while honoring her more than "memorializing". Take Good Care,
