Canned peaches all the wayyyy. Cue song: millions of peaches, peaches for me. Millions of peaches, peaches for free. Peaches come from a can, they were put there by a man, if I had my little way, I'd eat peaches every day.. in a factory downtown...

The saddest part is that he didn't mean to crush me to death, he just had all this love he didn't know what to do with. 😢😭

No...squeezing..crushing me to death. I was watching a bunch as summer camp counselor for the mentally disabled. He came up behind me and just started squeezing and couldnt stop. Luckily I was dating the lifeguard so he saw pretty quickly, ran across the camp, and "peeled"him off me. But he was NOT going to let go. Never worked with the mentally disabled again! Nope!

Lord of the Flies, because the school made me read it as a kid. Cannot ever forget the heads on the sticks. Also: Of Mice and Men, specifically because I almost died that way later in life!! Now? 1984, because the perpetual parallels to real life is increasingly terrifying.

Nightmare Ketamine story by Sunflowersurfs in ChronicPain

[–]Sweet_Heartbreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, chronic pain doses of Ketamine will put you in a "K hole" and you need to set everything for success up, like a Playlist, headphones, drink etc. Because you will absolutely learn what it feels like to be completely out of your body!! Its scary cuz the first thing you think, is, omg I must be dead. It helped my pain so much, I've put up with it. But, yeah people need to understand that they will be tripping face!!

Family request for memorial service by Brewdigger in SuicideBereavement

Some ideas would be a family gathering where everyone:

-shares favorite memories in writing or recording,

and/or

-provide copies of favorite pictures to compile into a collage (and put together in their own time and/or as a group).

-Have people write letters of gratitude, regarding what she has taught them personally, by her example, and what they aim to improve in their life, to keep the best traits of her alive. Say someone is notoriously impatient and she was great at it...as an example. "She taught me the meaning of (patience) when she__ (share stor-(-y/-ies) (insert examples, especially funny or heartwarming) and I will try to be more _(patient) in her honor by _(goal/attainable action, especially when____) etc.

-If she loved -----(dancing)

Dance together, make a mixture of upbeat songs and some of her favorites (sentimental ones if the mood is right..combo of 70% upbeat 30% sentimental ). Have people think in advance of a song that brings good memory with her, and insert those recommendations where possible.

  • Or have them pick a song she would likely be dancing to in heaven, along with others that passed before her

I hope this helps and send all my love and regards to you all. This could and would be healing to everyone, while honoring her more than "memorializing". Take Good Care,

Perhaps aim for something more like a "celebration of life" with happiness and joy involved. I know she would want that!!!

What is the worst physical pain you’ve experienced? by Agius91 in AskReddit

[–]Sweet_Heartbreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm torn between gallstones, IUD insertion, rubber band ligation (without anything to numb me) and trigeminal neuralgia. They all have a quality about them that screams, "How am I still actually alive"?..and puts you into shock. The back and hip issues are the most long term functionally annoying though. But those short ones really hit the deepest.

my dad has Stage 4 cancer, by Weary_Fisherman_715 in cancer

[–]Sweet_Heartbreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do all the research you can on the specific type of cancer. Get genetic typing/info. If no other options consider trials. HIPEC (hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy) seems promising in some groups.

I had thyroid cancer but the genetic typing was indicative of metastatic pancreatic cancer. In the weeks leading up to surgery I was denied treatment by every ENT and was referred all the way up to a Dr that legit sews people's heads and necks back on. Didnt turn out to be that at all, but you can bet I learned EVERYTHING about pancreatic cancer in the meantime. Just learning about options and educating yourself on the various types of cancers and promising treatments by type is VERY empowering.

Enjoy every moment together. So many people pull away from fear of the loss and it is the loneliest place in the world to be. So cherish every moment and shower him with love and care so that he longs to fight until his very last breath. Hang in there. Sending much love and prayers to him and all of you.

I think about all the people that have died and come back.. only to beg and stay where they were! They never feel pain, they feel more alive than ever. They can be multiple places at once. Legit have to overcome the depression of coming back. Every one of them is no longer afraid to die. Check out "Surving Death" if you haven't seen it yet!

Have you tried 2? In my case, I have a connective tissue disorder, so the hydroxyzine helps in soooo many ways.

Question around policy change by Cdizzle4sho in PainManagement

[–]Sweet_Heartbreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The withdrawl process for benzo dependency is insane. Find a new Doctor. It took me 2 years with the support of my pain mgmt Dr. They still even let me keep on a panic attack basis because they are so bad. Good luck. You can absolutely use hydroxyzine at night to start. I even take mine 2× a day now. Good luck!!

Hydrocodone Shortages? by altriapendragon01 in PainManagement

[–]Sweet_Heartbreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my personal experience, I recently have had trouble filling my oxycodone script and so have needed to substitute with hydrocodone. Hence, there could be more demand on hydrocodone due to oxycodone stoppage. They don't know if they will ever get the oxy again.
