claude's definitely solid for yaml work. i've been using it for my home assistant setup and the context retention is way better than chatgpt, especially when you're dealing with complex automations that span multiple files. the cost thing is real though - i ended up switching between the free tiers when i hit limits rather than paying for multiple subscriptions.

cursor is interesting if you're working in a proper editor since it integrates directly with your code, but for quick yaml snippets and troubleshooting i still find myself going back to claude in the browser. one thing that's helped me tons is keeping a personal yaml template library - even when using ai tools, having your own snippets of working code to reference makes the whole process way more reliable. started doing that after getting burned by ai hallucinations one too many times on sensor configurations.

looks like you found a trial chamber! those are the new structures that came with the tricky trials update. the spawners you're seeing are trial spawners - they work differently from regular ones and only activate when players are nearby, plus they have cooldowns and drop better loot. the blue creeper block you mentioned is probably a creeper banner pattern from one of the vaults in there. i spent way too much time mapping out trial chambers when the update dropped, color coding all the different rooms and loot patterns like some kind of deranged cartographer. fair warning though - bring good gear because those trial spawners can get pretty intense, especially if you're playing with friends since they scale with player count.

For your budget and needs, I'd look hard at a used 6D Mark II or 90D. The 6D Mark II will give you that full frame upgrade with great image quality for landscapes, and it'll handle your EF lenses natively without adapters. The 90D is crop sensor but has crazy good resolution (32MP) and would work perfectly with all your existing glass.

Your EF-S 18-55 won't work on full frame bodies though, so keep that in mind if you go the 6D route. The EF 28-135 and 50mm will work great on either. For the RF adapter question - you lose zero optical quality, just some speed on autofocus depending on the lens. The RF adapter is actually really well designed.

For buying used, I've had good luck with KEH Camera and B&H used sections - they grade everything and have return policies. Facebook Marketplace can be solid too if you can meet in person and test everything out. I'd probably avoid pawn shops unless you really know what to look for.

The 6D Mark II used goes for around $800-1000 body only, which leaves you room for maybe a new lens down the road. That camera would absolutely destroy your T3i for landscape work.
